PRIME Minister Julia Gillard has again failed to talk to protesters outside her Novotel apartment in Rooty Hill, this time snubbing Aussie Diggers.
Members of the Defence Force Welfare Association and the NSW Alliance of Defence Service Organisation implored the PM to talk to them as she got into her car to head to the airport.
"Why won't you talk to us?" Veteran Peter Thornton called out to the PM. "We're here, talk to us please."
Gillard waved to the protesters but did not respond to their requests.
Mr Thornton said he was frustrated by the government's inaction on military superannuation indexation.
At present military pensions are tied to CPI only, unlike other old-age pensions which are indexed to a different formula that takes cost of living into account.

Mr Thornton said the difference in treatment, as well as difference in the disability support pensions, saw veterans as much as $3300 per year worse off.
"We want what we were promised when we joined the armed forces," he said. "We've been ripped off."
