:rofl

Gun free zones cause shooting deaths now. Comedy gold :thumb

Anyways, on a completely unrelated note...

While the federal government is more than adequately prepared to begin the first phase of its plan of convoying Second Amendment adherents to newly established FEMA concentration camps, high-level members of the Obama Administration involved in the widespread conspiracy confirmed that they have been forced to resort to alternate methods due solely to Bailey’s heroics.

“As long as there’s someone like Earl out there with a gun and ammunition, we are unable to carry out our attack on America,” said Maxwell Caufield, a covert military leader in charge of the operation to turn the country into an authoritarian, one-party state wherein the basic rights of citizens are stripped away in order to create total government control. “Try as we did to spread our distorted gun control propaganda—claiming that it would protect innocent people across the country from needless deaths—the man just wouldn’t bite. There is simply nothing we can do about Earl and his gun, damn him.”

“You’ve got to hand it to him, really,” Caufield added. “If it weren’t for Earl, you’d be looking at a totally different country.”
"But you will run your fluffy bunny mouth at me. And I will take it, to play poker."

The American Gun Lobby et al have been sending around more lies regarding the "rise in gun homicides" in Australia since the so-called buy back. I have received several emails about this since the last massacre in the States and especially since Obama has been talking about it. Homicides in Australia have in fact decreased.

Here are a few links to those who wish to check.

http://www.aic.gov.au/statistics/homicide.html

Here is a graph of the trend in firearm homicides from 1989 until 2007. It seems that they prefer knives these days!

USA crime rates?

Homicides by country, global study by the UNODC.

Murders per annum? How's this?

USA = 14,748
Canada = 554
UK = 722
Australia = 229
NZ = 39

A Georgia redneck told me just this week, "Crime in Australia has gone up 50% since the government took away their guns."

Guns! Hands! Rope! Knives!

I watch the CI (Criminal Investigation) Channel on Foxtel. Amazing how they shoot/strangle/stab their husband/wife (and sometimes kids) to get out of a divorce, etc. Talk about dumb!

With 14,000+ murders per annum in the States, they can run a variety of programs/series about their Murders. Thankfully, Australia has only 200+ murders per annum, way too many too, most a knife or "blunt object".

Perhaps, instead of the Yanks changing the laws about guns, they should change them about divorce? That might save a few spouses and kids.

PS. That gun, if used, would probably blow the redneck's head off as he falls back onto one of those trees from the impact of shooting the thing?

Worth the read if you have a few minutes:

Stephen King on Gun Control and Violence

Image

“Assault weapons will remain readily available to crazy people until the powerful pro-gun forces … accept responsibility, recognizing that responsibility is not the same as culpability.”

http://www.brainpickings.org/index.php/ ... g-on-guns/

Here’s how it shakes out.

First there’s the shooting. Few of the trigger-pullers are middle-aged, and practically none are old. Some are young men; many are just boys. The Jonesboro, Arkansas, school shooters were 13 and 11.

Second, the initial TV news reports, accompanied by flourishes of music and dramatic BREAKING NEWS logos at the bottom of your screen. No one really knows what the fuck is going on, but it’s exciting. You get your still photo of the location; you get your map from Google or Bing. The cable news producers are busting their asses, trying to get some local news reporter on the phone.

[…]

Twentieth, there’s a killer tornado in Louisiana, or an outbreak of hostilities in the Mideast, or a celebrity dead of a drug overdose. Out comes the dramatic music and the BREAKING NEWS chyrons. The shooting is relegated to second place. Pretty soon it’s in third place. Then it’s a squib behind that day’s funny YouTube video.

Twenty-first, any bills to change existing gun laws, including those that make it possible for almost anyone in America to purchase a high-capacity assault weapon, quietly disappear into the legislative swamp.

Twenty-second, it happens again and the whole thing starts over.
