Having chatted with SN about various aspects of climate modelling I was going to post some photos of poor station site location.
After all these are the recorders of the information used in the models etc, etc, etc...
GIGO...

But having looked at just some of the available data on this there wouldn't be enough space to post all the ridiculous (badly placed) stations.

Here is a graph of surface temp stations as defined by the new system for quality of information.



I'm sure anyone can google sites with photos.

So if you acknowledge we are releasing greenhouse gas and acknowledge we are removing the plants that convert it and store it out of the atmosphere why don't you acknowledge man is causing a warming of the planet?

Man isn't the major contributor to the planet's CO2.
There are a few greenhouse gases, CO2 is just one of them.
* water vapor (H2O)
* carbon dioxide (CO2)
* methane (CH4)
* nitrous oxide (N2O)
* ozone (O3)
Water Vapour is ranked as the biggest direct contributor to the greenhouse effect. It contributes approx 95% to the greenhouse effect.
Atmospheric heating and cooling is more complicated than just CO2 and there are both positive and negative feedbacks.
Human activity contributes about .3% to the greenhouse effect.

Man-made and natural carbon dioxide (CO2) comprises 99.44% of all greenhouse gas concentrations (368,400 / 370,484 )--(ignoring water vapor).

Anthropogenic (man-made) CO2 additions comprise (11,880 / 370,484) or 3.207% of all greenhouse gas concentrations, (ignoring water vapor).

Total combined anthropogenic greenhouse gases comprise (12,217 / 370,484) or 3.298% of all greenhouse gas concentrations, (ignoring water vapor).

I have never denied man contributes to warming.
I have never denied man affects his environment.
Or that the environment affects man.
Without the Greenhouse effect... we'd all be dead.

ps. Our Climate Commissioner Tim Flannery has stated that... even if all man made emissions of CO2 ceased now it could take up to 1000 years before any change was noticed climate/temp wise.
