Boxy has got a point. Google Abbott and all you get is him posing for the camera in his budgie smugglers or fireman's cap. It's shoved in our face continually. If he was genuinely altruistic - he would be going about his volunteer work quietly. How will he have time to run the country? As it is he hasn't got a clue about the workings of the party's policies. Has anyone checked out the Liberal website? It is vague and there is nothing definitive at all in regard to policies - it's no surprise Abbott hasn't got a clue.

Let him get on with his "good deeds" and hand the reins to someone else who isn't so devoted to his extra curricular activities.

Well Mantra, he's had over a decade to flaunt it if that was his agenda.

And do you honestly think if Gillard had something she could flaunt in order to appeal to voters and win this election she'd hold back?

:bgrin

Why is it OK for Gillard to kiss babies, be photographed with her pets, and media-grab any chance she gets but not for Tony Abbott?

A bit hypocritical don't you think?

Get a life mantra.

Most of the budgie photos are just "stock" photos shown over and over again. The Project shows the same one over and over again.

The only point poxy has on this is that biased point on top of head. :du
Whose personal and political bias and hatred is overflowing for all to see?
It was you rusted on rightards who shoved this thread into prominence, demanding that we all bow down before the fucking greatest hero in Australia. Fuck off, he's a pollie, doing what he thinks will win him a vote, just like any other baby kissing cun.t.
If it wasn't for the ALP and people like the MP TWIT, this topic might not even have been started.

Just quietly, I think our Mantra has a little thing for Abbott and his budgie smugglers... ;)

I have to admit, he's not bad for his age.

You have good taste Mantra... rooooww...oooh la la :purple

Lest we forget?

Mud Army a symbol of the best of humankind, says Prime Minister Julia Gillard

by: Julia Gillard From: The Courier-Mail January 12, 2013 12:00AM

Lol, now she's even writing her own propaganda editorials

Time passes but the Mud Army - and what it symbolises - must never be forgotten.

Their story is inspirational. Their contribution, generosity and determination will always be remembered as a bright light during Queensland's darkest days.

How timely, and lest we forget the volunteer bush fire-fighters, eh Gillard?

:bgrin

I guess Gillards mud army may be likened to the Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels in PNG during WWll?

:bgrin

Lol, Brendan O'Connor mud sling damage control?

Is this what inspired Gillard to appreciate these volunteers early hours of this morning?

:bgrin

Haha. I'm straight, but if I had a choice of seeing Abbott or Bob Brown in their budgie smugglers - I'd opt for Brown.

Abbott is such a poseur. He's watched too many Clint Eastwood movies.

:rofl

At least Abbott's keeping it real, and he is afterall a real volunteer fire-fighter.

Tell me, what's Gillard in the above photo?

What is this saying about her?

lol, Melbart started this thread, and you idiots kept it running until someone finally stated the bleeding obvious.

It's just another example of Tony playing up to the cameras, only this time he's trying to play for party political gain on the good image of RFS firefighters and the blanket media coverage during a time when people are losing all that they own, and in some cases even their lives. Poor form.

Image

My point is, that the RFS is not just another hi-viz vest to put on for a photo op. Come and contribute all you like, everyone is welcome, and their help appreciated. But leave the media behind, and just get on with, or take the chance of being called a poser, and impostor.
