See, like Israel, Gillard believes Palestine's right to being treated humanely is so negligible that their UN status isn't worthy of our nations support, much less vote, at the risk of pissing off our generous Israel lobbyists (Political campaign bank-rollers) back home in Australia.

Gillard should have voted in favour of Palestine's UN state membership, this and echoed the sentiments of a majority of Australians, this opposed to pandering to a minority of anti-Palestinian Zionist Jewish lobbyists for her own gluttonous political advantage.

Let this be a lesson to all would be proxy-voting Australian politicians in future, when it's clear, Gillard has well and truly landed on her face in the mud, when she was forced to abstain from voting at the UN General Assembly due to pressures from within her own party.

Palestine's recent UN upgrade pleases me immensely, for now they may apply for ICC membership, this and have their plight heard at an International Criminal Court upon the world stage.

If Israel have nothing to hide, why are they so concerned?

In order for Palestine to democratise this and evolve past that which you detest, it requires the same degree of UN recognition as other member states and nations.

Israel's intention is to oppress and invade, not encourage growth and maturity of a neighbouring Palestine state who's people they despise.

Only nine nations voted against Palestine becoming a non-member UN observer state, guess which ones.

Apart from Israel, Canada, the US, Germany, The Czech Republic and a few scabby pacific islands ...the vast majority voted for, not against Palestine non-member UN observer statehood.

Twits like you automatically assume it's some sort of Islamic conspiracy, a plot for them to take over the world, (and you reckon I'm a conspiracy nut) when in reality, it's about Palestine being recognised a state (unto itself) by an international community, a state able to air grievances in an international court in a civilised democratic manner.

We should be happy with their willingness to democratise...for it would be far more concerning if they refused to partake in any sort of internationally recognised democratic union between member states.

The fact that Israel and the US oppose Palestine's membership is a contradiction in itself, this and goes against the reasons they give for wanting to invade and instil democracy in Palestine.

Furthermore IQ's...Whilst Palestinians are predominantly Sunni Muslim by religious affiliation, there is a significant Palestinian Christian minority of various Christian denominations, as well as Druze and a small Samaritan community.

This is not about religion, it's about genocide and natural resources yet again, and hasn't it always?
