The biggest threat Israel faces from Palestine’s upgraded U.N. status - and the primary reason for its furious lobbying against it - is the prospect of the Palestinians applying to join the International Criminal Court.

And in doing so....
Palestinians may then take Israel to the ICC over child detentions and other crimes against humanity.

See, like Israel, Gillard believes Palestine's right to being treated humanely is so negligible that their UN status isn't worthy of our nations support, much less vote, at the risk of pissing off our generous Israel lobbyists (Political campaign bank-rollers) back home in Australia.
Gillard should have voted in favour of Palestine's UN state membership, this and echoed the sentiments of a majority of Australians, this opposed to pandering to a minority of anti-Palestinian Zionist Jewish lobbyists for her own gluttonous political advantage.
Let this be a lesson to all would be proxy-voting Australian politicians in future, when it's clear, Gillard has well and truly landed on her face in the mud, when she was forced to abstain from voting at the UN General Assembly due to pressures from within her own party.
Palestine's recent UN upgrade pleases me immensely, for now they may apply for ICC membership, this and have their plight heard at an International Criminal Court upon the world stage.
If Israel have nothing to hide, why are they so concerned?
Palestine need to apply for ICC membership pronto!“Israel is violating the Child Protection Act and all international laws by subjecting children to such traumatic experiences. The Israeli minister of security had actually said earlier that Palestinian children have no immunity,” Karakea said.
Karakea stressed that the international community is aware of the crimes committed against Palestinian children and that several human rights groups are launching campaigns in solidarity with Palestinian children. “But this is not enough. We need to take further steps,” he told Al Arabiya.
Enough is enough!
