Well i'm not a rusted-on boxy and i wouldn't vote for her here or at the next election... (not that I get a chance to).
Only a fool would vote Labor back in.

Re: 2012 Person of the Year
I'd like to nominate .....(((drum rolls)))...

Julian Assange for his outstanding contribution to journalism.
Julian Paul Assange is an Australian editor, activist, publisher and journalist. He is best known as the editor-in-chief and founder of WikiLeaks, which publishes submissions of secret information, news ... Wikipedia
Born: July 3, 1971 (age 41), Townsville
Nationality: Australian
Education: University of Melbourne
Children: Daniel Assange
Movies and TV shows: The World Tomorrow, Collateral Murder
Parents: Christine Ann Hawkins, Brett Assange, John Shipton
A far more worthy recipient that Obama and Gillard.
What have they contributed other than promising the world and giving an atlas?

If the Australian public were allowed to vote on this, I'm sure they would vote for Assange before Gillard.
In fact, I think they will at some point in the foreseeable future.

For the ALP, failure is always an option....usually the firstSPEERS: If you don't get the budget back into surplus in three years, what happens? Do you sack the Treasurer, do you take personal responsibility?
Gillard: It's happening, David. Failure is not an option.
Speers: If it doesn't? If it doesn't?
Gillard: Well, failure is not an option here and we won't fail.

Regardless of the many prejudices Alan Jones' arouses in people - he does a lot of good for a lot of people just by speaking up for them. He's also kind and has been generous with his time.
He'd be worthy of being nominated.
