If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Fences got washed away pretty much everywhere, so cattle were loose all over the place, giving me an excuse for the obligatory dog shot ..

Haven't been doing a lot, bit like these characters ..
Bearded Dragons (3) [@25%].JPG
Have been collecting flat rocks for pavers and squarish blockie rocks for building with from creeks mainly.
Morning before ANZAC day I found a baby Brown snake in the ash in my fireplace trying to keep warm off the coals from previous night's fire.
Later that day I had a fight in the creek down the back with a Rough scaled snake, aka Swamp Tiger, aka Bandy Bandy [or Bandi Bandi]

When he first came at me I droped my bag of rocks and jumped about 1 & 1/2 ft backwards out of my thongs. When it came scooting across the creek on his belly with its head raised I swung my machete at it but missed, hitting the rock he was on. The vibration from the chink of metal on rock, or my dog's approach upon hearing the machete hit rock was enough to force its retreat. I've jammed a 3 X brick sized white rock about 4 or 5 ft off the ground between 2 close trees forming a fork on the creek bank so I can recognise that spot from a distance in the future.

A few days later I spotted this while exploring some pretty steep and rain foresty sorta ground ..

Some may remember me spitting dummies and having tantrums trying to get my super. Well I was successful eventually. I wanted a ute, and I wanted a 4WD, and lucky me got a 4WD ute off Gumtree for a bargain.

Y'know, I'm really glad I bought a 4WD.

Yikes, Yogi. Glad that you got the Super worked out. How's Fred (or TD - The Dog, as I have called him)?

Are those snakes dangerous? I can handle seeing a snake but a spider .................

Fred's good ... being fluffy in prickle country can be a hassle, constantly pulling prickles out of his fur.
Been cold in the hill for a few nights now, and at 11 months of age Fred has managed to weasel his way back into my bed, at night.

I get Trap-door spiders that line their hole like a Funnel-web and have no trap door, that look just like Funnel-webs.
I also get Centerpedes .. their sting hurts, and I also get little fat black scorpions.

Rough scaled snakes/Bandy Bandys dangerous?
Apparently. I got chased by a smaller silver and black one at Bundy's Baldwin Swamp in late 1998, but didn't manage to identify it til early 2000.
Behaviour

The snake is active both day and night. It can climb trees in pursuit of prey. The Rough-scaled snake is highly venomous and will readily bite if attacked or handled.

Danger to humans and first aid

The Rough-scaled Snake is a shy and extremely nervous snake, and will vigorously defend itself if cornered. A defensive snake will raise its forebody in an S-shape, with the head pointing directly at the offender and the mouth slightly agape. It hisses loudly and explosively and, if approached too closely, will strike out and bite repeatedly before trying to escape. The Rough-scaled Snake has relatively large fangs and highly toxic venom with coagulant, neurotoxic, haemolytic and cytotoxic properties. One human fatality has been attributed to this species, and anyone suspected of being bitten should seek urgent medical attention.

Well I've never cornered nor tried to handle one of them, they just attack if they think they can get away with it.
I saw the same snake I had the stoush in the creek with about a week earlier at a creek crossing where I dump rocks on the bank. I had my dog with me, and it hid under the grass overhanging the edge of the creek.

A few weeks before that I saw a snake I've never seen before. It was black with a rusty red back. Hid under a trailer in my camp site with a 1000 litre tank on it.
