Yes, that was a bit embarrassing for Matt. What about Deek and his running shorts? If I recall, Pickering had fun with that for one of his Christmas calendars.

Well, that's precisely the point. Some people have packages that are worth showing off in lycra, or whatever. Some don't. Neither of them have the body to flaunt in speedo/bikini's... only one of them shows the poor judgement to do so.

If you want to blame anyone for the downfall in popularity of the budgie smuggler, then you don't have to look much further than the honourable member from Warringah

Not the point at all... I've seen lots of old ex-lifesavers still parading around in Speedos, looking a lot worse than Abbott. he only wears it as the uniform of his club people it has been a tradition long before then. you denigrate him you denigrate them all.
