You know, I shudder to think what would have happened in 2008-9 if the Libs had won in 2007. Doesn’t bear thinking about! The jobless rate would be in two figures for sure, deficit $1Trn+ and at least one of the banks collapsed. This is based on what H&C did and on what the Libs at the time said and did, like voting against the stimulus measures.

Instead of that devastation the NBN is rolling out, a plan for the MD is in place, spending on education and health increased, Howard’s middle class welfare being removed from the Budget, etc. All four banks intact.
