And with every post you prove you know less than nothing...

Wassup, jealous?

I read your link... and?
I know what Labor are doing and why... they disgust me.
I knew before he did it, what Abbott should do... he did. No surprises.

So far you have made no claims you've managed to back up, with any sort of proof.
Your grasp of issues and what actually transpired is dubious at best.

As pointed out previously, the Minister acts on advice (from experts) and/or reports...
TONY ABBOTT: That's not my reading of the report from the Chief Medical Officer. My reading of that report is that there are significant additional health risks associated with medical terminations, and that the safest way to have a termination is a surgical termination.
TONY ABBOTT: I don't hold myself out as being an expert when it comes to particular medical procedures. I have sought the best advice I can - the disinterested advice of the Chief Medical Officer, who has sought advice as well, from people like Dr Andrew Childs, former President of the College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and this is the result.
Tony Abbott may have personal reasons for not wanting RU486 available, he being a catholic may not believe in abortion, but he acted on a report. Mind you there were others in parliament at the time that stood against the use of the drug. We all know how Labor has had to toe the line with the Greens and Independents in this Minority Government. In 1996 Brian Harradine, who held the balance of power in the Senate, agreed to let another bill pass if a veto over RU486’s supply was given to the health minister, making it the sole “restricted’ good on the TGA’s list of pharmaceuticals. Individual Ministers do not make these sorts of deals... governments do.

Amendments were moved in 2005, 90% of women senators voted for the bill, and only 46% of the men. After several attempts to scuttle it, the bill was passed in the house – on the voices, because Howard saw how the vote was going and didn’t want it put to a division.

What do I believe as a Conservative Left Winger? I am pro-choice, I believe women should have freedom to choose in regards to their own body, including pregnancy.

Libs have no policies, says former Young Lib koolaid drinker Andrew Elder:
The Liberals have run out of new ideas. The central weakness of conservatism is that it cannot distinguish fads from lasting change. Nobody will be able to say "Thanks, Liberal Party!" for future policies with which they agree, because it has become a hollowed-out vehicle loaded by others rather than a political force in itself. Now that the Gillard government looks less likely to lose by default, the Liberals will have to redouble their focus on state governments or else start the hard work of rebuilding for 2016. There are questions about the extent to which the straw men named by van Onselen can or will be part of that, as they all share the dread of repeating the ideological brawls of the 1980s and '90s.

How they expect to run an effective election campaign god knows: no policies, no way of capturing the attention of the electorate, no costings, Budget black holes and more.

ROTFLMAO :rofl :rofl :rofl

Well you said it JM he's a koolaid drinker, much like yourself no doubt... Ah just what has this got to do with Abbott and promises? The Libs and Nats have tons of policies... you only have to read their websites. As for Van Onselen, he used to work for Abbott, he's bitter and twisted about something. most of his articles have some negative slant re Abbott, he can't help himself, mostly they are dribble like your stuff JM.

Oh and JM, we are already in a budget blackhole we've been there for years under labor, who haven't managed a surplus yet. the last Coalition government paid off $96 billion in Labor debt and created a $20+ billion surplus (that Labor pissed up against the wall in about 2 seconds flat).

You really do have problems with politics don't you.

Monk always pulls this stunt. He only reads ALP propaganda and news sites. If he opened the other eye he would have a more balanced idea.

I think he confuses being The Government and being The Opposition. Why would Tony Abbott announce any new policies, now, when they are already on the Liberal Party web site? Once an Election is called then we might see some new policies ... there always are at Election time. Remember Kevin07 and his me-to?

Andrew Elder calls his blog “Politically Homeless” because he is no longer a happy clapper for the Libs—and totally despises “the ultimate hollow man” Abbott—but is distrustful of the left.

You are one of the most loudmouthed ignoramuses it has been my misfortune to meet and is why I call you a Neferti.

Are you referring to me as a Neferti, old man? Think you have the definition incorrect. ;)
har·ri·dan (hr-dn)
n.
A woman regarded as scolding and vicious.
You are past the Grumpy Old Man stage, so I will have to check the Thesaurus to see what they suggest for a smelly old man with a drinking problem who cannot take criticism. I am sure I can come up with a doozy or three.

PS. Be aware that I am typing with a HUGE smile on my face. Are you?

Tony Abbott addressed the final Coalition Party Room meeting of the year.

In a major speech, Tony outlined the direction, values and policy priorities of the next Coalition government.

The Coalition's positive plan will deliver a strong, prosperous economy and a safe and secure Australia.

Our positive plan includes:

* Reducing cost of living pressures
* Lower taxes and more responsible spending
* Closer engagement with Asia
* Creating more jobs
* Getting rid of harmful taxes like the carbon tax and the mining tax
* Boosting productivity by reducing red tape for all businesses but especially small businesses
* Greater workforce participation through a fair dinkum paid parental leave scheme
* Securing our borders through introducing proven policies we know work

From the beginning of next year, the Coalition will set out more of the detailed policies that will deliver real outcomes for people - reducing cost of living pressures, restoring confidence in the jobs market and allowing people to plan for the future with certainty.

It won't happen. Abbott will be too busy with an AWU inquiry. Then he has to start undoing the NBN and the carbon tax whilst fighting with Indonesia about sending back the boats. His first term will be taken up spending money on issues that will get us nowhere, but result in a higher cost of living. How is he going to pay for it all? Just trying to cut through the red tape to reverse them will cost more than actually sticking with the old policies.
THE Coalition's pursuit of the AWU affair will continue if it wins the next election with Tony Abbott promising a judicial inquiry into union corruption yesterday.
