Even CNN had Romney ahead in voting preferences despite Obama getting ahead in this particular debate

Independents will decide
Um nope, the electoral college will decide

In lay terms what is the electoral college?

Every state of the United States is represented in elections by electorates. These are not even numbered according to states. Some states have more electoral votes than others.

When election day comes around, the people go to their polling places and vote, but the count only determines how many electoral votes will represent that candidate for president.

For instance, currently California's 55 electoral votes are designated to the candidate winning the statewide popular vote. If Obama wins California (and he will) then all 55 electoral votes will represent him as president.

Same with all the other states, some states have more and some have less. For this reason it is actually possible for a candidate to win the popular vote nationwide, but lose the election.

Not as bad as Obama saying there were 57 states. Didn't stop him getting elected.

Palin never said that. It's a measure of the failure of the media that this myth has gained so much traction - whereas Obama's real gaffe was swept under the carpet.

As we reported last week, Twitter has been flooded recently with violent comments from Obama supporters. The increase in volume of the comments seemed to coincide with Romney’s poll numbers edging higher against Obama.

Not only have Obama voters been making open threats that they will riot and cause mayhem, they have also been caught making direct threats to assassinate Mitt Romney, prompting the Secret Service to announce that it was “aware” of the threats and would “conduct appropriate follow up if necessary.”

Threats on Twitter? Perhaps the Secret Service is aware, but the internet is full of crap, and they probably know the difference between real threats and crap. By the way, you can't believe every blog you read, either.

Sure, most of them are just talking crap.

Still, it shows that extreme Democrats are just as rude and nasty as extreme Republicans - contrary to the picture put about by Democrats.

Watching now.... the last debate.

I think Romney did well. Obama was attacking and attacking him. I am not sure Obama came across well to the layman. Romney came out better than I thought he would.

Ann Coulter gets pwned. Like shooting fish in a barrel these days, apparently.
