I know you expressed it in the context you refer to but there is only one definition.

Noun 1. public knowledge - knowledge that is available to anyone

Kevin "I'm here to help" Rudd might have a big decision to make soon.
Tomorrow the Security Council decision will be made.
Julia might solve one of her biggest problems by sending Kevin to sit on it.
I can't imagine Kevin turning it down, but then again he might have to weigh up becoming PM again and for how long that would last before coming to a final decision. I'm thinking Kev will go with the bird in the hand.

Kev07 is damaged goods. His replacement falls face down in foreign countries. The ALP brand is dead and extremely embarrassing to most Australians.
