Since Abbott took over the Liberal leadership Labor have focused on attacking him and mostly it has been very very personal.
Now we have had an escalation of this personal attack tactic. Socialists are coming out of the woodwork with claims 30 years old about the behaviour of the young Tony Abbott.

Obviously rusted-on progressives will believe the attacks no matter what, but how are these attacks affecting the majority of voters. Will this tactic work and will it be fatal to Abbott's leadership.

Gillard hates men, but will Gillard apologise for her personal attacks on Abbott?

If Gillard had the politeness and manners of Abbott then she would be better off, but as Gillard is a misandrist femo-nazi then the intelligent voters will never listen to her whatsoever.

He has to be portrayed as a good family man - but when you think about it - how much time did he actually have for his family?

Abbott has spent a hell of a lot more time with his family than Gillard ever has, oh that's right Gillard has no family does she. So attack Abbotts quality and character over something that Gillard desires but is unable to attain

Ahead of a speech today to Liberal women in Sydney's western suburbs, the childcare worker said in politics it was often hard to see the “real” person beneath the tough political exterior.

“I think politics is a tough business and to be successful in politics you have to have a tough exterior, whatever your gender,” Mrs Abbott told the Nine Network.

“So seeing the real person is often very difficult and sitting in front of a camera is probably not the best way to show the real person.”

The usually media-shy Mrs Abbott said while her husband was the politician in the family, “I know the man in another context”.

“I just want to add a bit of balance to this and to present the fact that he is a pretty ordinary bloke, no airs and graces, who enjoys time with his family and is surrounded by strong, capable women.”

When asked if his wife's public defence of him was a “diversionary tactic” to deflect recent criticism, Mr Abbott said his wife had wanted to say something on the matter for some time.

“Margie and I were sitting around the breakfast table a couple of Sundays ago and she said, `Look, this is just wrong and it's unfair, I want to say something'.”

Mr Abbott said his wife was a private person and both of them had tried to keep their family life separate from his public life.

“Just for once she thought it was important to speak out.”

Obviously, the Libs have perceived that their man Abbott needs defending, and so his Wife is trotted out*. Does that now make her fair game in the Media Circus. I think it does.

(How absurd*. If The Indian Bride posted here that I was a wonderful bloke who does all sorts of 'family' stuff, would any of you believe one word? Of course not!) This appearance by Mrs Abbott is indicative that the Lib's research shows that their man is becoming more and more disliked among the ladies. Why else would his Wife come out with her handbag swinging?

Obviously after years of constant denigrating attacks to try and paint Abbott as a misogynist (an allegation with absolutely no basis in fact) and the current handbag brigade of "Pillpopper Pilbersek" and "Nicbowlcuta Roxon" and the ALPs tawdry display of trying to smear by association and get Abbott to apologize for a private commentators opinion- the Abbotts have probably had a gutful of the lies like most Australians.

The transparency of the ALP is plain to see.

Not one of the ALP is a patch on the community citizen that Abbott is
