I bet Romney, if he gets in, will have him picked up.
I think that Obama will get another 4 years.
NOBODY cares about American Politics except Americans and most of them don't bother to vote either.
Wrong - a lot of us care about American politics. Though I have always wondered why so many of them don't vote. I bet the Hispanics will this time.
I think Romney has already lost the election single-handedly. What a screw-up,he is.

Really, Hebe? Perhaps is it because Obama is a Black Muslim and a Lefty? I definitely would NOT want Romney as Prez if I was a Yank. Mormons are a No No.
Oh and why would the "Hispanics" line up to vote?
I have lots of email pals in the States and they are all Republicans but ........ they are not getting behind Romney. At all. As I said, by default, Obama will get another "term".

Yeah, I know without looking at your link .... I was just stirring!
I still want to know why the so-called Hispanics will suddenly turn up to vote.

From what I've read - most of the Hispanics aren't granted US citizenship. They have no status, therefore I'd assume they can't vote.

Behind closed doors, Romney also mentioned Hispanic voters, who in the United States have primarily backed the Democratic Party.

I have no idea, nor interest, in the Electoral system in the States. However, I wondered what Hebe meant by the above quote.
Are the Hispanics mainly "illegals" or what? If not,why would they suddenly come out in droves to vote (for Obama I presume)?
Just wondered what Hebe meant. That's all.

I do, to a degree
All Australians should be at least partially interested in American and British politics. We follow them blindly (rightly or wrongly) so we should be aware of who we might be following for the next few years

There's a lot of US citizens of Hispanic origin is what I think I meant. Not the illegals.

It is far too early to call the election. I know a lot of people are, but they are either ignorant or partisan. Romney is 4 points behind in the polls, but only 4 weeks ago he was ahead. There are still 6 weeks left to play, and the debates haven't even started.
The fact that people are counting Romney out before the debates will play to his advantage. The stakes are high, but the expectations are low.
It's hard to understand from an Australian point of view. Things are good here, the economy is rock solid and employment is at an all time high (or thereabouts). But the U.S. is facing the lowest percentage of adult employment in 35 years. No one has ever been given a second term under these economic circumstances. It is like keating in 1996. It's going to be very tough for obama.
It is far too early to call. And why would you want to? It's going to be a hell of a campaign. I can smell the blood from here.
