Re: Ford or Holden
Good point, all cars are mass produced and if there are more of them the parts should be cheaper.Auzgurl wrote:Well as they are the most driven car in Australia I will bhe in good company. 'Jovial Monk wrote:Ford or Holden, both mass produced rubbish.

I've never had a Ford or a Holden I don't think. All Japanese and one French.

Re: Ford or Holden
I have had Fords, never a Holden.
I have had all sorts, a Datsun pick up, thing was like a tank and is probably still going, Nissans, VW Bug in Italy, every now and then I would have to push start it, one day my first wife who was Puerto Rican got angry and hit the stearing wheel with her shoe and it never acted up again, even German cars are afraid of Puerto Rican women.
Currently I am in a Hyundai Getz, cheap, great on gas, the least expensive car to maintain and I actually got it going 160 K once!
It sounded like the space shuttle on re-entry.

Re: Ford or Holden
Been a Ford man all my life, but that's in motorsport terms.. Owned Toyota, Nissan, Ford, and Hyundai. Can't go past either Nissan or Toyota for build quality & reliability.
Favourite car? 1985 Nissan Bluebird. For reliability, economy, comfort, ease of servicing and access to parts it simply cannot be beaten. There is no better engine than the L20B when it comes down to four cylinder 2.0 litre powerplants

Re: Ford or Holden
We currently have a Hyundai - it's terrific to drive (Lantra). I just wish the speed limit were higher.
And I forgot to mention.............the Volvo station wagon. It was like driving a bathroom.
