That last photo is truly disgusting SN. It has to be photoshopped, unless it's a bloke wearing a dress.

The scary bit is that I think it is real. You cannot think up having your guts hanging below your dress line like that. It has to be real. I had to loolk a few times to see what it was.

Sadly this is the image I have of the US today.

1. Super good looking fit guys and girls
2. Fat ugly hillbillies kliving in trailer parks

The land of extremes. The land of, if you have money, great... if not... die.

The US had such potential. I think if they are not careful they will become less relavent to the future direction of humanity.

I had to look that picture over a few times until I realised that it was a navel I was seeing hanging down under her dress

That obese woman and the hillbilly stereotypes are examples of the extreme, to the point of cartoonishness.

There are a lot more normal looking middle class folks here than you think.

It's just that here in the US the population is much larger than yours, and the urban areas are more spread out, whole cities merging with one into greater metropolitan areas, and many more people rent apartments rather than rent houses in suburban areas.

The city streets are overrun with students, most of them from out of town, out of state, out of the country. People in my metropolitan area here in California speak many languages, only a few are outright obese, and there are no hillbillies.

Hillbillies can be found mostly in midwestern and southeastern states in the Appalachia and Ozark mountains, eastern United States.

If any of you have ever seen the movie Deliverance, 1972, then you will see the way folks have lived there for generations.

The film was as authentic as any I have seen. I once had relatives who came from that area, and I can assure you it is authentic to the way things really are there.

That area in North Georgia is actually celebrating the 40th anniversary of that movie. Some are still embarrassed about it but things have changed: the film brought in tourists and the wealthy who have built million dollar vacation homes in the area. Things have changed. But the locals will not be voting for Obama.

Yes, I should have said, the way things really were there, several decades ago.

A fiery speech by a law student at the Dem. Convention:
According to Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke, invited to address the Democratic convention and the nation, America faces a stark choice this November. "During this campaign, we've heard about two profoundly different futures that could await women in this country – and how one of those futures looks like an offensive, obsolete relic of our past," she cautioned. "That future could become real."
In one of those futures, women will be "shut out and silenced," rape victims will be "victimized all over again," pregnant women will "die preventable deaths in our emergency rooms," and "access to birth control is controlled by people who will never use it." If you're wondering where all that is on your ballot form, just check the box marked "R."

This choice applies here too: we have fanatical Catholic Abbott who already once let his stupid religion influence his work as Health Minister and there are too many Catholic idiots in the federal LNP caucus!

Very worth reading that article!
