Israeli minister warns of 30-day war with Iran

I hope this is never allowed to happen. It will create another decade of terrorism and death in the west.

Should Israel attack Iran because they are afraid of what they may do. M.A.D. work for decades between the west and USSR... why wouldn't it work now?

Israel won't do it alone and is putting pressure on Obama for support. If he gives in to their demands - then the Coalition of the Willing will be called in to help if it gets out of control, which of course it will. That means Australia's involvement.

No country should have nuclear bombs, but it seems OK for some nations to have them - yet others can't. Israel is plonked down in the middle of enemy territory - their choice. Their philosophy for their own self preservation is to kill everyone around them who might be a suspected threat, but those nations who disagree with Israel's stance will be dragged into it on the orders of big brother USA.

Let Israel fight their own battles.

Iran and other Arab states have threatened to wipe them off the map for decades.
If there is a war, let's hope they can keep it local and to just 30 days.

The difference is that the leaders of the USSR and the West were sane people who didn't want to destroy everything.

The leaders of Iran are religious fanatics who believe a holy war will bring on the coming of the 12th Imam, and cleanse the world of infidels. They believe that if they die fighting for Allah, they will be martyrs with an honoured place in heaven.

Iran's leaders regularly call for Israel's destruction. That's about as close as you can get to declaring war without actually declaring war. Hopefully their instincts for self preservation kick in before it all goes downhill.
