My kids had that one too and another couple I can't remember, because their friends did, but I always thought it sounded like Dr Seuss was on drugs and creepy and the books weren't my first choice of reading material. That tells me that they have decided to self censure. Six books will no longer be published because of a self imposed review.In a statement, Dr. Seuss Enterprises said it made the decision after consulting educators and reviewing its catalog.

These books also happen to be the least read books from that author.
This company then put out a statement, which has attracted mass media interest... both left and right media, with a different spin, based on politics, with lots of free air time devoted to this.
Sounds to me like marketing genius. Not a cent spent on advertisements!
