Why do you think it's appropriate for any leader to rip up the speech of their opponent behind their back on world wide tv? Your stance is indefensible stemming from your bias.
If ScoMo ever does that to Albo I will expect you to defend him.

Where am I defending Pelosi, Black Orchid? I am making a point to all those attack her. It wasn't the official copy of el Presidente' speech. She was entitled to do what she liked to it.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 7:46 pmWhy do you think it's appropriate for any leader to rip up the speech of their opponent behind their back on world wide tv? brian ross wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 3:39 pmThat is merely your opinion, Black Orchid. We do not know anything about how Hilary would have been as el Presidente'.
The4thEstate wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 4:29 pmNo, but we do know that Trump's approval rating is now at a personal high of 49 percent in the Gallup poll.
As for Hillary, the most recent approval rating I can find is this from 2018:
https://news.gallup.com/poll/243242/sna ... g-low.aspx
As Gallup reported: "Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's favorability with U.S. adults is unchanged from last November -- remaining at a record low (36%). Clinton's image remains in a rut nearly two years after she lost the presidential contest in 2016. Her favorable rating is down seven percentage points from where it stood on the eve of the election."
Gee, not a lot of post-2016 buyer's remorse going on in the States these days, is there?
Again I remind you that the Electoral College totals are the only numbers that matter in a U.S. presidential election.brian ross wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 3:59 pmWe have the 2016 election results which is what this argument is about. In that election, el Presidente' Trump gained a Popular vote of 62,984,828 (46.1%). Hilary Clinton gained a popular vote of 65,853,514 (48.2%).
And it's been that way since the '80s.
The 1780s.
But today isn't Trump's last day in office. So you're comparing apples and oranges.brian ross wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 3:59 pmToday, Trump enjoys a popularity of 49%. So Trump has gained what, 3% popularity over what he enjoyed in 2016? Hardly dashing results, 4E. There is 51% of the population which is unhappy at el Presidente's performance it seems. He has divided America, rather than united it. It is also 10% fewer than Obama on his last day in office. Tsk, tsk.
Let's choose a more relevant statistic, shall we?
Trump's Gallup approval rating during the February of his fourth year in office (2020):
49 percent.
Obama's Gallup approval rating during the February of his fourth year in office (2012): https://news.gallup.com/poll/151025/oba ... nthly.aspx
45 percent.
Well, my my my ...

And how popular do he and his supporters claim he is?
(Oops, that would require you to do actual research.)
Ummm ... no, actually they don't.brian ross wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 4:47 pm49% is how popular he is actually. How popular his supporters claim he is? 100% of course, being supporters, 4E.
