Sorry, disagree completely.
If I do the wrong thing, or break the law, then that IS my fault, so I'd happily take the punishment.
Even it if was vastly disproportionate right...
Flogging?
Amputation?
Death by?
Having made a mistake you think it is fine to kill someone based on your obviously flawed judgement?
Many innocent people have died at the hands of the state.
Personally, I think they were fools.
But not all fools and criminals deserve to die.
The message re the death penalty there is clear.
It hasn't stopped Indonesians from being involved in supplying or being drug victims though has it?
Widodo says 50 Indonesians die every day... but these morons were taking drugs out of Indonesia.
Supposedly a judge offered them a lesser sentence for money.
Not only is the system flawed, it is corrupt in Indonesia.
Widodo is playing politics with this... primarily to the ignorant, of which Indonesia have many.
I think it is wrong to keep them alive for 10 years, then after they have shown some signs of rehabilitation and having been a positive influence on fellow prisoners and a noted help to the prison authorities and hence to Indonesia... their deaths ares pointless and a waste.
Better to leave them there doing good.
Better to have killed them quickly.
Indonesia have secured clemency or of had the death sentences of almost 200 of their citizens commuted world wide I think in the last 12 months.
What was all the sabre rattling about eh... in transporting these guys.
This is just politics nothing more.
This is standing up to Australia.
We are dealing with a corrupt infantile nation.
