So of course everyone wants a piece of the Ukraine right now, UK, US, and Russia ,......and China has a vested interest in locking the west out of the world's second most richest source or REES.

🙂

I say leave them to it and take care of ourselves.
We need to remain neutral or we risk more than what we'd bargained for, guaranteed.

The Nords have got the right idea!

Hard to say Mellie. Trump certainly has made politics itself great again. I can't remember anyone pushing for a less corrupt global political culture than Trump... by taking responsibility for any corruption in their own country beyond the usual ousting of a Dictator. The fact that the USA funded such Dictators to keep their countries weak shows the global crises of not just Russia and China at fault, but USA too.
I think we have begun a new era of political evolution towards a better political world, though there is a long way to go.
The world is getting smaller and corrupt politics and evil is finding less places to hide.

The world won't be at peace until blonde Flash Gordon appears and becomes President, because his only superpower was Politics itself.

From a chemical perspective, gold is generally considered an immutable or inert element because it is unreactive and does not corrode or become corrupted so when gold digging civilizations fade from pages of history gold stays.

Ukraine?

The Europeans always have some territory that they want to go to war over.

It happened in WW2 over Danzig where Germans were living.

Danzig (modern-day Gdańsk, Poland) was a largely German city
declared a "free city" after World War I,
but its status became a point of contention,
ultimately leading to its annexation by Nazi Germany and the start of World War II.

The Europeans must find a peaceful solution to disputed territories.
That could include a UN controlled referendum or plebiscite.
They prefer to go to war and risk destroying the whole world with nukes
over territories that many people have never heard of.

Who had even heard of the Donbas 3 years ago?

The whole world is fed up with Europeans starting world wars.
It's best we stay out of it.

The US has made it very clear -
they are not willing to risk a nuclear war over Crimea or the Donbas
or any other territory.
They have only gone to war with non-nuclear armed countries:
Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen and they have even stopped so far with Iran
as they fear Iran may have a nuclear weapon or two.
This is nothing new from Trump – it's been the US policy for 80 years.

Ukrainian rightists burn alive 39 at Odessa union building

May 5, 2014

Some 1,000 Ukrainian rightists, led by the notorious Right Sector,
surrounded, stormed, and burned the House of Trade Unions in Odessa last Friday,
killing 39 pro-Russia demonstrators in the building.
Demyan Ganul, a contentious Ukrainian neo-Nazi activist, was shot dead on Thursday in central Odessa. The attack took place on Aleksandrovsky Prospekt, where Ganul, a prominent figure in Ukraine's far-right movement, was shot twice by an assailant dressed in military uniform before fleeing the scene.
...
Ganul, a leader of the right-wing group,'Street Front', was widely known for involvement in the 2014 clashes in Odessa, which culminated in the deadly arson of the House of Trade Unions, resulting in the deaths of 48 people.

His actions during that time earned him notoriety, and he was long associated with neo-Nazi ideologies, making him a polarizing figure in Ukrainian politics.

The moment activist Ganul was killed in Odessa.

There were two shots first put Ganul down, second was controlled shot n the head.
In Odessa, Senior Lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Shalaev, suspected of murdering neo-Nazi Demyan Ganul*, one of the organizers of the tragedy in Odessa House of Trade Unions, choose a measure of restraint. This is reported by the Ukrainian edition of Strana.
Shalaev himself is wearing a bulletproof vest and a helmet for some reason - they are probably afraid that an attempt may be made on him, the newspaper notes.
