Good I hope the 10 20 and 50 aren't far behind, half the time I don't bother getting change off shops when its just silver, it just weighs your pockets down.

Well, for people that pay cash they increasingly say 'keep the [5/10/15c] change. For some it may cause some slight increase in cost but not really--it would take 20 transactions to cost a dollar: HM times a week would a pensioner go shopping?

Personally, I hate the frigging 50c coin! Useless, heavy & sharp!

Yeah get rid of them. Most vending and phone machines won't accept 5 cent pieces anyway so what's the use? In fact abolish coins altogether. Why can't $1 and $2 come in notes? At least then my pants won't fall down while I'm walking down the middle of Rundle Mall because of a billion coins, weighing a kilo, stuffed into my pocket courtesy of dickwad shopkeepers who give me five $2 coins instead of a $10 note. I'm looking at you Hudsons Coffee
