What you do affects your health

Sitting here in a hot study--woke up this morning with a tight chest--some damn cold or flu or other 'lurgy.'

Used to come down pretty much every year with URTI and be off sick for a week. that was in the Pubic Service, working in a tall, airconditioned office building.

In May '85 I said goodbye to regular wage packets--haven't had a wage since--and left the Pubic Service to go into small business with a friend as business partner. Never even had a fucking sniffle for years. Now I have started the HBS I am at the mercy of any diseased cocksucker who decides he needs to come to my shop even if still suffering the ravages of 'flu or still in an infectious stage of it. Have noticed the odd bit of cold etc hitting me, but I could throw it off.

Not this time, fukkit! Not even a couple of brandies can fix it!

You sound misareable Monk , hope you get well soon..its the same when you have kids who drag every cough and cold home from school..this whole family comes down with nasties regularly..I hate that aspect of school..
