Who is sick of the terms...

Post by IQS.RLOW » Thu Mar 24, 2011 2:17 am

I'm not going to rule anything in or out?
Transitional arrangements?
I'm not going to discuss cabinet confidential blah blah blah..?

...as code speak for bullshit.

This govt seems to apply them all to every aspect of policy that they try to implement.

When I read those questions, the name Penny Wong popped into my head. That bitch is the worst question-dodger of all.

I don't understand why interviewers simply move on to the next question when the last one goes unanswered. If they won't answer the question, the interviewer should remind them that they have dodged the question and ask it again. The interviewer should repeat this process until the question is answered. The longer it goes on, the more embarrassing it is for the asshole dodging the question.

These assholes have a fucking obligation to give us the whole truth. We are paying them after all.

I'm surprised there no instructions in there telling them how to wipe their drooling mouths and stop licking the windows
JULIA Gillard has ordered MPs to explicitly deny the government is in a power-sharing deal with the Australian Greens, as she tries to sell her carbon tax plan.

A talking points document distributed to Labor MPs also suggests they are being asked to soften up voters for a taxpayer-funded advertising campaign about the proposed carbon tax.

Under a section of the document suggesting how MPs should answer any question about whether Senator Milne was correct about power-sharing, MPs were told to say: “That's like suggesting (former Democrats leader) Meg Lees was prime minister because John Howard negotiated with her on the shape of the GST, or (former Tasmanian independent) Brian Harradine was in a power-sharing arrangement because he won concessions from John Howard in order to pass the sale of Telstra.”

MPs were also advised to reject any suggestion that Ms Gillard wilfully misled voters last year, when, before the election, she ruled out a carbon tax.

One of the suggested responses to any question about the broken promise was: “As the PM said, we never intended to mislead people - but the fact is that we were faced with a parliament we didn't expect.

“You take the policies to the election that you believe in. And if we had won a majority, then we would have worked to deliver an emissions trading scheme, and just an emissions trading scheme.”

A spokesman for Ms Gillard refused to comment on the document.

But it includes dozens of political points that Ms Gillard and her colleagues have been using all week, including that the Opposition Leader is engaged in a scare campaign, that “every cent” of the money raised by the carbon tax would be generously redistributed to households and that action on climate change represents a choice between fact and fear.

The MPs are also given advice about how to respond to suggestions the government will use public money to advertise its carbon pricing plans.

The Australian Online revealed the plan on Tuesday, with Climate Change Minister Greg Combet conceding his department had consulted public relations companies on a range of possibilities, including advertisements.

Gillards cabinet spews tokenist clichés, and expired ones at that, then expects the public and media to lap them up like kittens do milk as though their "speaking with impact" seminars were worth the tax-payers expense.

Most of their slogans are borrowed from Obama the tosser anyway, so....not much of an impact there, even their campaign slogans came from the US.

I'll bet she even fakes her orgasms.... :P

Are you saying it is beyond your capacity to understand the phrases "transitional arrangements" and "cabinet confidential matters"?

“Good economic management” and “some careful economic management” meaning boy am I going to spend some money to get re-elected, that was pretty rampant in Howard’s day.

Politicians talk bullshit and try to avoid some questions—the party doesn’t matter.
