GP super-dud clinics

Post by IQSRLOW » Fri Dec 03, 2010 12:37 am

Yet another dud liebor policy badly designed, badly implemented. Another ginormous waste of money

GP clinic with everything, except GPs
FOR patients, it is as bad as a pub with no beer. The latest Gillard government GP super clinic to open its doors has no doctors.

The $25 million Smart Road Super Clinic in Modbury in Adelaide's northeast opened on Monday, November 22, with only a dietician and social workers present.

The doctorless practice has rooms to cater for five GPs, physiotherapists and dentists, and is the 14th of the 59 centres planned by Labor as part of its $630m program to help the chronically ill and keep people out of hospital.

Jo Roberston, 36, who lives in nearby Hope Valley, said opening a super clinic without a doctor was ridiculous. "I don't see the point of opening it if there's no doctor. It's crazy."

It's only been open for a week - give it time. I thought some of these clinics were going to have RN's running the place initially. Maybe the author has mistaken the RN for a social worker?

Maybe you should speculate some other kind of way to excuse the ineptitude

Interesting that it was the govt decision to remove an exclusion on overseas doctors, that meant that it didn't open with a GP.

But ... but ... having clinics, albeit without doctors, or sometimes with or without .. whatever happens doesn't matter 'coz they get to say "We've put on twixty fousand extra or new medical staff .. blah blah .." or whatever PR theme they can spin off it.
... and besides they get new locations for syringe vending machines .. hmmm those junkies must have some political clout :?

You fucking peanut, you'd be the first to complain if a foreign recruited doctor was seen to be incompetent and guess how long it takes to make a doctor locally? That's right, no doctors graduating for the next two years will be the product of Labor strategy. I wonder why there's a shortage?

Your the fucking peanut by supporting govt spending of an initiative that they neither have the ability nor the staff to be able to see the project to fruition.

You useless little fucking 'yes' man  At every turn your govt has shown itself to be one of the most incompetent govts this country has ever seen and there you are, another incompetent this country has this displeasure of seeing, excusing the gross incompetence of this incumbent

Go fucking shoot yourself now because you really are too stupid to be living amongst normal humans

They've got to get the works "on the ground" as quick as possible, so that the Libs can't just take them away again when they get back in power ;)
