The rules are there to stop public servants speaking their personal opinion as if it were PS policy, not to stop them having an opinion. He did all he could to divorce himself from his position when speaking his opinion.

No, an OO reporter outed him—probably just to get lefties and bloggers frothing at the mouth all clicking on the OO and giving Rupe some ad money. But there was no public interest served outing Greg so one is left to infer the OO has a further motive.

Mr Jericho, who was the subject of intrigue at the Media 140 conference in Canberra last Thursday as an "embedded" but anonymous blogger, wore a nametag that gave his first name but not his last.
