Broadcast watchdog ACMA has revealed why it has failed to investigate the ABC segment calling for Gina Rinehart to be murdered - despite senior politicians agreeing the sketch should be axed.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has repeatedly refused to investigate the ABC until it finishes marking its own homework.

The media regulator said it would only launch its probe if there were complaints after the ABC ombudsman concludes its own internal investigation.

The film encouraged ABC viewers to sodomise Gina Rinehart with a stick in a manner which would kill her.

News24.com.au revealed on Friday Ms Rinehart launched legal action against the ABC and several senior executives after the national broadcaster refused to apologise or remove the segment.

The ABC refused to take the show down then they refused to apologise.

Surely this has to be the last straw. Constantly doing the wrong thing, lying, faking videos and now this.

The ABC does NOT represent the majority of Australians. Just a few moonbats. It's well PAST time the ABC is defunded.

“The ABC has an important role in … creating forums for diverse, respectful dialogue,” their corporate plan for 2025-26 reads.

“All of these are essential to strengthening social cohesion — and by extension, a healthy democracy.”

The public broadcaster then goes on to list all the things risking social cohesion in Australia.

“The rise of populist politics … wealth inequality … undermining of mainstream media … mis- and disinformation,” and, get this, “the loss of public interest journalism.”

Which is, despite having their own comedy channel, about the only funny thing to ever come out of the ABC.

Because less than a year later, the very same public broadcaster would go on to air an extremely violent joke about conservative mining magnate Gina Rinehart.

A joke that is genuinely too obscene to reprint, and that no sane person should even hear, let alone think.

So much for respectful dialogue.

It’s a level of hypocrisy that could only exist in a taxpayer-protected racket like the ABC.

This is a classic example of "tall poppy syndrome" when a prominent leading citizen is cut down by fake news media in service of a tyranny while crowd of idiots cheering the spectacle while being robbed by the political tyrant.
