Points out at start and finish "The problem we inherited" as if to say "Not our fault" which is an immediate admission to not being up to it and will fail.

He also points out a good 'streamlining' of expenditure - but doubles back on that by proving that Australia is just a 'consumer' of all things overseas Military production. Military Production Companies around the world have a field day with Australia! They probably throw in a free Landcruiser for each Politician who signs on the dotted line.

Not once does he mention any initiative and push for 'innovation' (yeah - they expect Australians to be innovative, but our Government won't) to make our own Military machines and technologies as if to say "Australians are too weak, stupid, lazy, expensive, blah, blah"
