Latest crime data shows surge in rapes, murder, assaults in South Africa

Nearly 10,000 rape cases and more than 6,100 murders were reported in South Africa between July and September this year, according to official data released on Friday.

The number of rape cases stood at 9,556 – an increase of 634, or 7.1%, from the third quarter of 2020 – while murders were up by 1,056, or 20.7%, to 6,163, the country’s latest crime statistics showed.

There were also 72,762 cases of assault in South Africa in the third quarter of 2021.

“This data proves again that South Africa is a very violent country,” Police Minister Bheki Cele said at a news briefing.

He termed the soaring rape figures “deeply disturbing” and a “disgrace.”

“The majority of the rape victims are women and those most vulnerable in our society. A sample of 6,144 rape cases revealed that 3,951 took place at either the home of the victim or the rapist,” he said.

On the increase in violence, Cele said a major factor was the unrest in July after former President Jacob Zuma was imprisoned.

Zuma’s incarceration sparked widespread riots and looting in the provinces of KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng, which claimed more than 200 lives.

The latest crime data showed KwaZulu-Natal had the highest number of murders – 1,744 – between July and September, an increase of 536 from the corresponding period last year.

The figure was 229 for Gauteng, which is home to South Africa’s largest city Johannesburg and capital Pretoria.​​​​​​​

After the second world war, it became fashionable among the educated elite to promote the idea that "all men are equal." These were the "angry young men" who demanded an end to colonialism, which they claimed was exploiting the populations of the colonies and keeping them from attaining first world status. End colonialism, they proclaimed, and these "developing" countries would eventually attain economic equality with the west.

But something went wrong with that belief. To begin with, the Asians did progress into the modern world, which the white Europeans had created, to the extent that they are now surpassing the Euros in prosperity. But among other races in post colonial nations, even those sitting on undreamed of wealth that without European knowledge they did not even know they had, these have steadily gone backwards into the future.

I think that the entire concept of "all men are equal" is absolute rubbish. It presupposes without proof that all races are equal. As such, it is an act of faith. And when religious faiths are found to be wanting, an intelligent person switches on his critical analysis circuits and starts thinking. Religious people with absolutist mindsets go into hysterical fits of self righteous indignation when their core beliefs are questioned, and that exactly what happens with certain religious minded dumbasses, when anybody questions whether the races are equal.

In some "free" western societies today it is actually illegal to say that races are not equal. This equates exactly to the old blasphemy laws where any questions about whether God existed were ruthlessly suppressed through the full force of the law. It took Darwin for the western world to even begin to think about reforming blasphemy laws. Even in Parramatta, NSW, a public speaker was arrested by the police in the 1920's for denying the existence of God.

Our most admired western cities are now burning through race riots, and when it comes to the question whether races are equal, I think that the western world has reached it's Darwin moment.

Now, it is screamingly obvious that certain ethnicities are always dysfunctional no matter where they are, or in whatever nation and culture they reside in. The spokespersons for these dysfunctional minorities are now claiming "white privilege" is the reason why these people can not advance. Okay. This explanation, called Critical Race Theory, just happens to be racism. Hitler blamed the woes of the German people on the Jews, and that is widely recognised as racism. So, dysfunctional races blaming white people for their dysfunctionality is racism too. It works both ways.

What we end up with is two racist theories. And the only question that remains for those with any brains, is to figure out which racist explanation is the correct one?
