SA & Tassie elections

Post by TomB » Sat Mar 20, 2010 9:47 am

GO the Greens!!!

That idiot Rann has probably lost Labor a state election, like Howard did the federal election, by exceeding his use by date.

I wonder if a coalition could actually work between the ALP and Greens? We may just find out soon :?

This is a new generation of Greens - mind you Bartlett and McKim hate each other. It might be a Lib-Green coalition, might be a Lib/Lab one.

I'm just hoping Bartlett is out as ALP leader and out of education. Till he is, I won't vote Labor or preference them.

The only sure thing is it won't be a Labor majority.

Looking like a 17% swing away from Labor, mostly to the Greens, but enough to the Libs so that they may come out a seat or two ahead of Lab

Looks like Labor will hold SA even though there is a 15% swing in some seats. Will be interesting to see what happens in Tasmania.

Well done in Tassie hebe, the Greens really are the real deal now. You watch Labor and the Libs suck up to them now, I must admit I'd hate to see a Greens Libs coalition though. The way I see it the Greens increased their vote as a result of Labor people moving to them, in other words the people of Tassie moved to the left not the right, the Libs don't deserve government on those grounds. Its just the beginning, I expect a Greens/Labor federal coalition in my lifetime, its the only way to save this country.

skippy - as per usual, a balanced thoughtful posting.
I feel the taswegians stayed where they were, the alp has moved right.
bob brown has tried a deal with labor before, they shafted him.
a lib/green coalition could be good - if the libs were liberal.
