Proposed Qld Government consent to sex legislation.
This is another indication that our governments are indeed incompetent.
Apparently, the Qld Government is seriously considering strengthening consent laws
due to the sex scandals (aka stench) emitting from Canberra.
The Palaszczuk Government is said to be considering legislation which requires
women to give "enthusiastic" consent to sex.
What pray tell, constitutes enthusiastic consent.
It has already been humoursly suggested that maybe a stat dec signed before a JP
will be necessary in Qld to engage in sexual activities.
The app recently suggested by NSW Police Commissioner has been lambasted left
right and centre.
The defence to many rape charges is mistaken consent.
Numerous precedents exist which can be researched by anyone wishing to do so.
Governmens are barking up the wrong tree, obviously attempting to secure the female vote
if they think they can merely legislate that enthusiastic consent is now required for sex.
The bottom line is that parents are lacking the skills to parent.
They are handballing the consent issue to the schools.
Students may be seeking more guidance within the education system.
This is a blight on parents.
Teachers shouldnt have to teach children about this topic.
Parents of today are incompetent.
Either that, or male children are simply refusing to accept that "no"
means "no"
We shouldnt have to discuss changing our culture.
This is just a bullshit diversion.
Parents are incompetent.
They need to find some competence...
Of course, the argument will be put forward that less drugs and alcohol might
be a starting point.
Well that would constitute a cultural change.
But probably impossible in a nation famous for its pissheads and football.....

Enthusiastic consent?
These people are insane. Pretty soon no-one will be having sex at all and then we'll have no families and no children and then we will have to start up the boats again to raise the population. They can well outbreed us and only get a slap on the wrist for sexual assault anyway. Said partially tongue in cheek but only very partially.
I agree it comes down to bad parenting. Too many kids are taught no responsibility and, yes, too many lazy parents are incapable of teaching responsibility, values and morals to their kids and expect teachers to cover all the bases because they are incapable and too damned lazy to and/or they're too busy having another one for the government benefits they will receive.

Yes.
Apparently, after reading further, it appears that emphasis has been placed on
the silence by women during assaults as being mistaken for consent....
Leading Womens Rights Advocate, Angela Lynch is saying that a common response for a rape
victim is to "freeze" during the assault and that "silence" could be mistaken as consent under
the new law....
I find this line of thought to be somewhat strange....
If a woman is being assaulted, I would imagine the last thing which would occur would be
for the woman to be silent.
Attorney General Shannon Fentiman has said that at the moment, the law is making it clear
that silence is not consent...
Im confused....
How many of us, if we served on a Jury would convict an accused if the women he was
alleged to have raped said nothing during the offence.
Of course if the woman is unconscious, then that changes everything....
I will be interested to read the enacted legislation....
https://www.news.com.au/national/queens ... 655a36b3a4
This simply appears to me like a government attempting to have the public believe that they are
doing something to protect women, when in fact they are doing nothing....

If someone is intent on sexually assaulting you an app or a NO is not going to stop them even if it is 'enthusiastic' and there's too much of a grey area around two drunk people having sex and one of them maybe waking up the next morning and regretting it.

I see a future where the man will be totally responsible for any intimate act.
He will need proof that it was consenting and ongoing consent throughout the act.
It is reducing an act of love into nothing more than a bodily function.
This will in turn reduce any compassion with any female and result in more divorce, less marriages, less children and more assaults.
My wife and I make love.
The act of love making is more than just sex and it is immeasurably more pleasurable that way.
I have loved my wife for over 40 years and cannot imagine the sex act being
"stick it in, wave it about, pull it out and go home"
It must be dreadfully unsatisfying for so many people out there.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

Unfortunately many men treat their wives/partners like porn queens...
AND many women want to be porn queens...
AND the love/respect for each other disappears...
AND surprise surprise......
WE now have society as it exists today......
