76% of people will take the vax
Time to roll up ya sleeves kids:
New university survey finds most Aussies support COVID-19 vaccine

Australians are overwhelmingly supportive of the coronavirus vaccine —
but a worrying number still have doubts.

A new survey has found that while around three-quarters of Australians plan to get the coronavirus jab once it is available, doubts remain for an alarming 24 per cent of us.
That’s according to new University of Melbourne research based on a January survey of more than 1000 Aussies regarding their attitudes to COVID-19 policies, including the vaccine rollout which is now under way.
And 76 per cent of us plan to get the jab as soon as possible,
with 73 per cent supporting compulsory vaccination of the entire population and 51 per cent agreeing that government benefits should be dependent upon proof of vaccination.
However, the survey found almost a quarter of respondents still had doubts about the vaccine, which echoes the findings of an ANU study released earlier this month which found there had been a “substantial increase in vaccine resistance and hesitancy and a large decline in vaccine likeliness” between August 2020 and January 2021.[/quote]

Frig - that's more than I thought.
I'm a bit scared of the vax especially when I see so many
bad reports on the web but nothing in main stream media.

Maybe people are worried by the new devil strain?

The new coronavirus variant from California appears to be deadlier, spreads more easily, and could weaken vaccine efficacy.
Scientists labelled the strain as “the devil” after their alarming discoveries, The Sun reports.
The variant is called B.1.427/B.1.429 and was first spotted in California this winter.
It has been found in Denmark, Mexico and Taiwan.
As with any new variant, it contains new mutations which scientists were aware could give it an edge over the “original” strain of the virus.
They have been studying it closely with the first findings - which are not published in a peer-reviewed journal - causing concern

Are we to seriously believe that a survey of merely 1000 Australians give us these "overwhelming" statistics...
The sample is far too small to give a definitive number...
There are 25 million people in Australia...
AND they give us a survey of 1000...
It wouldnt be a survey designed to convince everyone to get the jab would it.....
Of course not...
If the numbers showed an "overwhelming" number of people NOT wanting the jab we wouldnt
have even seen the results....

Sounds like that survey Brian Ross used to continually tout. 85% of Australians support multiculturalism. Yeah right. There were something like 800 respondents who had the option to fill it out in any of a dozen different languages and got paid $10 each.

Yes - I also cast doubt on the survey.
I suppose we'll know soon enough the percentage of those who actually line up for it.

Thing is Sprint, most people would rather 'wait and see' for the brave and the scientifically aware to have there shots first. When they have not suffered as a consequence, I predict that those following will complain about the slowness of the roll out.sprintcyclist wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 3:38 pmthat is because of people like you bobby
