Yeah me too, it took me a while to figure our what bird it was as I could hear it calling around somewhere during the day.

I now am wondering what is the bird I can often hear in the hour or so before dawn.

I do hear it during the day as well sometimes but havent been able to sight it!

Dunno..
I have seen and heard owls in a clump of trees nearby and they seem to be vocal at nights....
I guess they would call during the day also....
