Australia's Hannah Green wins her first major title with victory in Women's PGA Championship

Hannah Green has clinched a stunning victory in the Women's PGA Championship, becoming the third Australian woman to win a golfing major title after Karrie Webb and Jan Stephenson.

The 22-year-old Perth native won by a single shot over South Korean golfer Sung Hyun Park.

Green hit an iron shot approach into the bunker on the par-four 18th, but she left herself a nervy five-foot putt to win the title, and she holed out to seal her first major win.

"When I was over the putter I was really nervous," Green told the ABC.

"I really did not want to miss the putt to then force the play-off.
