Working well

Post by Valkie » Mon Feb 25, 2019 5:56 am

Victoria has the countries, nay the world's, most draconian speed enforcement.
They have more sapped enforcement than anywhere in the world.
Raking in hundreds of millions.
But they still kill many Australians.
I wonder, could it be that the roads are crap,
That they concentrate far too much on revenue raising and not enough on the real causes of crashes.
Could it be that the roads and maritime are simply bureaucratic morons who have no idea about anything road related?

But they are still working on newer and better ways to enforce speeding
1 km per hour is deadly they spruce.

What about poor roads
What about undecided highways
What about unlicensed drivers and defective vehicles.

Poor sad morons
Equal opportunity employer
Too bad they employ all the deadbeats.

Four people have been killed on Victoria's roads in less than 24 hours, with a cyclist the latest fatality.

A truck crashed into a motorised bicycle on the Henty Highway at Portland in Victoria's west on Saturday afternoon.

The cyclist, an 18-year-old Portland man, died at the scene and the truck driver stopped at the scene. He is assisting police.

It's the fourth death on the state's roads.

A motorcyclist and driver collided with an SUV at Heatherton Rd at Springvale South about 4.45pm. The rider, who has yet to be identified, was critically injured and died on the way to hospital.

Earlier in the suburb of Narre Warren a car turning onto Berwick Road from Wellington Road smashed into an oncoming car.

The driver died at the scene and has not been formally identified.

The pair in the second car, an 18-year-old Belgrave man and his passenger, a 19-year-old Menzies Creek woman have been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Just before 3am a car ploughed into the rear end of a parked tray truck at Reservoir and the driver, a man in his 30s, died at the scene.

Another man aged around 30 was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The deaths bring the state's road toll to 51, compared to 34 at this time last year.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

I still blame DRIVERS...some are maniacs and should never be allowed on the road....

but we dont find that out until its too late...

speed doesnt kill......but if we didnt have speed checks I am sure death would increase 10 fold....

cameras are a deterrent..... but cars dont speed drivers do...

we have an ALL ABOUT MEEEE syndrome now....and it goes for our share of the road....

we have to stop passing the buck...

its the govts fault nay its the roads fault...it isnt fair all I want to do is go faster than the next bloke...

I would like to think commonsense might come back one day.... :roll
