Mental health

Post by sprintcyclist » Tue May 15, 2018 9:13 pm

Depression, Anxiety, and Panic Attacks are NOT signs of weakness, they are signs of trying to remain strong for far too long.

Mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of. Neither is talking about it. And we, as a society, need to talk about it more!

I have been treated for depression and anxiety, and am presently taking Fluoxetine, I find it helpful

Good luck with it.
I pretty much had a nervous breakdown late last year.
Was sort of a build up over some time. Was scary stuff when it hit.

yes, travelling much better. At the time, it was bad for my health in all sorts of ways.

Hope you have improved. I've known a few people with depression.
It's quite different to a case of the blues.

I know what it feels like to hit absolute rock bottom, though am having counselling and it's working well. I didn't take the medication avenue because it was trauma related, not clinical.

Been in counselling for coming up to 12-months.

Still have my bad days, usually just before court whereby I'm required to appear as a witness for the police, but otherwise, am coping ok.

Reactive depression/anxiety and PTS is tough, I really feel for people who suffer these symptoms clinically.

My grandmother suffered with depression.
