The Death Of Dogs and Kings.
As you know I will post a lot of offensive comments-humor far and wide (it is genetic) but on another forum that has offensive comments about Jews, Muslims, African Americans, tons against Homosexuals I posted some profane jokes about a dead dog killed by another dog and then defended eating dog meat as no more offensive than eating pork. (I just received a Medal of Honor form South Korea).
Never have I received criticism on that forum about the things I wrote about humans, or even God, but attack a dog and here comes the moral lynch squad with torches. And interestingly the first censorship or thread locking due to my posts.
The larger point is this, why is it often people are more sensative and moral concerning pets than they are people?

Dogs are sometimes child substitutes (childless couples or singles, older couples whose children have left home) so that is a tender area.

I joked about eating my son too, no one objected. (Perhaps because they did not want another Frogen in the world?)Jovial Monk wrote:Dogs are sometimes child substitutes (childless couples or singles, older couples whose children have left home) so that is a tender area.

But the bastard would have, except for the second voice in his head.
Fuck all Abrahamists anyway, Jew, Christian & Islamic. disgusting religions one and all. Al based on lies; the OT was written by scribes while Jerusalem was being besieged by the Assyrians or someone. King David never existed, nor did JC. Mohammed did, unfortunately.

Most dogs are nicer than most people.
The better I get to know people, the more I find myself loving dogs.

Perhaps goes part way to explaining why pp are so defensive over the family pet..
There are two ways to view the modern American obsession with pets. One is that it is a healthy manifestation of affection for all of G-d's creatures. The other is that it is a sign of a lonely generation of men and women, desperate to nurture a creature that gives them the love that is not forthcoming from more traditional sources.
I often ask the most obsessive pet owners why they are so attached to their pets. I usually hear the same response. The pet gives them more love than any person. More than a spouse, a sibling, or even parents. The dog loves you just the way you are. But the boyfriend tells you that your butt looks fat and you should go to the gym. Your husband ogles other women, but the cat never cheats.
Men feel the same way. As my friend Roger explained, "When I come home after a long day's work, my wife is usually on the phone and the kids are watching TV. Almost no one even notices that I walked through the door. But Laraby, my golden retriever, goes nuts. He runs up to me and almost knocks me down. He wags his tail. It's like he's been the waiting the whole day for me. And it makes me feel incredibly special. My wife complains that I watch too much TV. But the dog just cuddles up next to me and let's me be

Well, if you cut your husbands balls off like you did your cat he would never cheat too.Auzgurl wrote: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rabbi-shm ... 40888.html Your husband ogles other women, but the cat never cheats.
