I posted this on several forums (including here some where previously), here it was not a test just a joke because this forum is so free, but on many other forums I had an ulterior motive, to see if it would be censored.

I only posted it on forums that allow gross humor against Christianity or Judaism and low and behold, 3 of the five forums censored it.

This was a theory I have, that Islam has been so effective at violent threat many in the West are willing to censor and reject long held secular, democratic, Enlightenment principals just to appease them.

It is interesting how effective Islam has been at violent offence even in the more important case of papers refusing to print the Danish cartoons, even print them after violent Islamists killed over the initial appearance of these cartoons, thus making what were every banal cartoons vital and news worthy, especially in an image driven media. Islam has been very effective at threatening its way to censorship in the supposedly secular, democratic West.

Look at the difference between the religions, 'Life of Brian' was protested by fundamentalist Christians but it played and still does pretty much everywhere in the West. Can you imagine a simular satire “Life of Mohammed”? There would be blood in Islamic countries and fear in the West. Same holds true with the Last Temptation of Christ, still playing or renting. Where is the Satanic Verses movie?

Radical Islam is winning this battle, it stomps it's feet, protests violently and gets it's way, even here in the West and we are not even fighting, we are just putting our hands up and calling it peace.

Good to see one forum that is not afraid of the barbarians who kill in the name of God only to silence speech.

Trouble with Islam is, it is set in stone exactly how it was in AD800 or so. It has not developed with the times.

It's part of what makes the West, the West. Not doing stuff that offends minorities at home, or means they are targeted for unfair treatment.

Christopher Hitchens made a telling comment, he knows most of the major editors in the US and UK and said most did not print the Danish cartoons even though they became newsworthy after many Muslims burned embassies and killed Europeans in Islamic countries simply out of fear, he said most admitted that to him.

But I don't buy the specious argument wrapping them in cotton wool and sending surrender signals to those who threaten to kill is for their own good.

What is for their own good is learning the rules of secular society, one of which means your religion may be criticized or satirized and you can be offended, object, rebut, but you can not threaten to silence, censor or kill.

I risked my life, literally twice to help save tens of thousands of Muslims, in Kuwait and Bosnia, all I ask in return is that you let me speak freely, even about your religion, and you do not go all Allahshit over it and start killing.

Simple request that is a pre-requisit for living in a secular, western society.

If they can't learn that, they really should not be here.
