If you thought Labor performed bad in the WA elections, the Greens performed even worse.

My parents visited Tasmania recently and had this to say...
"Everywhere we went locals and even our tour guides were fuming over the Greens and blamed them for destroying what was once their self sufficient little island come suddenly needy having to import most of everything. 13,000 youth leave Tasmania each year to work/study on the mainland, are leaving in droves like never before due to there being minimal job prospects in Tasmania. The Greens have gone well and truly overboard with destroying their industries, ie logging."
The Tasmanian 'state' election only involves the Tasmanian lower house, the House of Assembly. There is no fixed date or minimum period before a 'state' election is called. The latest date for the next House of Assembly elections is 24 May 2014.
I'll bet the greens are breathing a sigh of relief over this.

The Greens are dead meat.

They lost 3 of their 4 seats in the ACT Election and Canberra is a Leftard Town!

My parents were quite shocked with how political Tasmania has become, just about everywhere they went the subject of how the Greens had stuffed their island came up.
In fact, one of the tours they had paid for, (was a ride on a steam train, I forget which one) was cancelled because the management were having a meeting on the day my parents were due to board the train to ascertain it's viability and whether or to take it off the tracks indefinitely.
And they were blaming the Greens for this too.
Why, I am not sure.

Greens fury over CLIMATE change sceptic Lord Christopher Monckton who took on the green movement when he took his controversial tour to Hobart recently.
His appearance at the at the University of Tasmania's Sir Stanley Burbury Lecture Theatre drew anger from the Greens.
Greens' federal candidate for Denison Anna Reynolds said Lord Monckton should never have been given a forum at the university.
If Greens are confident, why are they opposed to open debate?
