This morning, Prime Minister Julia Gillard blamed Tony Abbott for the upcoming devastation and promised that; “there will be no apocalypse under a government I lead.”

Adam Bandt was heard desperately trying to contact Bob Brown in order to get ETs phone number so he could catch a lift to a nearby habitable planet.

The rest of The Greens and Get Up are on a protest march and gathering outside the Member for Warringah’s office. Protesters and posters shout; “Thanks a lot Dr No”, “Abbott, Abbott, Abbott”, “Ban the Budgies”, “Mad Monk”, and “The end is nigh, let’s poke Tony in the Eye”. Christine Milne and Sarah Hansen-Young are blaming the upcoming catastrophe on Tony Abbott’s “relentless” negativity.

Tony Abbott is blaming the carbon tax.

Joe Hockey is stating the bleeding obvious; “I always said this government would never produce a budget surplus.”

Malcolm Turnbull… is counting his money.

Wayne Swan made a doorstop outside his local Pub dressed as Bruce Springsteen. He expressed grave concern about the impact on the average Aussie household and said that the world ending 4 days before Christmas would absolutely ruin the retail sector. “That’s normally their busiest period,” he said, adding… “and after all my good work, saving us from the GFC”.

The ever smiling Penny Wong said she couldn’t add much but that even though the Australian economy is strong it cannot remain immune from global events.

Glenn Stevens is staying tight lipped about the possibility of another dip in interest rates.

Immigration Minister Chris Bowen, is relieved, and was seen happily pointing out to Scott Morrison that eventually there would be an end to asylum seeker boats.

Kevin Rudd is ringing around doing the numbers in a last ditch stand to wrest the leadership back. Claiming that there is no way His God would end the world whilst He was leader.

Tasmanian Independent Andrew Wilkie attacked the PM for breaking her word that Parliament would run for a full three-year term, and again threatened to withdraw his support from the minority government.

Rob Oakeshott was seen playing with the fairies at the bottom of the garden, telling them how ugly and beautiful tomorrow will be.

Tony Windsor was seen gleefully rubbing his hands together at the thought of the destruction of The Nationals.

Christopher Pyne was found crying into his poodle.

Whilst Deputy Opposition Leader Julie Bishop was seen idly staring into the distance.

Premiers Ted Baillieu and Barry O’Farrell are urging a steady as she goes attitude, Campbell Newman is too busy to worry about it at the moment and Colin Barnett is threatening to secede. No one can be found in charge of Tasmania or South Australia.
