10 shootings in 10 days

Sydney has gone mad and as much as this sounds racist, most of these crimes have been committed in middle eastern enclaves by middle eastern looking males.

They're not shooting to kill but maim, and legs and stomach are the main targets. It's getting worse by the day and we can be thankful that they're only maiming each other - although occasionally an innocent bystander gets caught in the crossfire.

We have a special middle eastern crime squad - yet they're not making any inroads into this exacerbating crime as the victims and witnesses rarely give evidence. NSW police commissioner Andrew Scipione has admitted that it's getting worse. We need harsher penalties - like the US, especially as we're catching up to them in violent crimes. Currently the perpetrators - if they're ever caught, get a slap on the wrist - but there is a suggestion that 15 years jail time should be the minimum sentence.
SYDNEY'S latest shooting victim staggered into a hospital bleeding heavily - but police are still trying to work out exactly where he was gunned down.

The 20-year-old was shot in the leg at Rosehill and took himself into Westmead Hospital at about 12.30am (AEST) today.

It remains unclear where in Rosehill the shooting took place and detectives are still trying to speak with the man to determine the chain of events.

"He is cooperating to an extent," a police spokesman said.

Macquarie Radio Network reported that officers investigating the shooting were sent to a street in Granville.

The NSW Opposition said it is Sydney's 10th shooting in 10 days.

They said crooks are increasingly shooting each other in the legs and stomach in order to maim their victims.

A 24-year-old man was shot in the stomach at Guildford, also in Sydney's west, yesterday afternoon.
