I heard it on the news and the CV hour they run after the news. They cited 3 Council areas and Waverley was one but I can't remember the other 2. One in the southern area and one in the west, I think.Gordon wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 8:46 pmWhere did you hear that?Black Orchid wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 8:36 pmApparently Sydney is going into total lock down in stages, and maybe from tomorrow, and it looks like Waverley is top of the list so you will be one of the first Gordon.
Don't know why they don't go the whole hog *shrug*
BTW, All of the playgrounds and workout courts have all the equipment wrapped and roped off. This is going to be fkuced,

This happened apparently because no one will take responsibility for the arrival lounge at Sydney Airport to organise the arrivals to keep social distance. You would think that "Border Force" would be responsible for securing our borders (and that includes the arrival lounge at the airport but they have claimed they are only responsible for immigration. Dutton's boys (and girls) are showing what their leader has instilled into them. They are the "elite" and so can't be responsible for organising people as they step off the plane. Nor does it appear that the AFP can do it either. The State Police have no jurisdiction inside the airport. Looks like we are pretty well fucked by the stupidity of the Tories.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 6:07 pmWhat the hell is wrong with us. I thought international travel was banned??? They weren't even checked nor had their temperatures taken but apparently from now on they will be. Some consolation.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-03-26/ ... s/12092796Video has emerged of large queues of people ignoring physical distancing rules after arriving at Sydney Airport today.
The vision was filmed this morning in the airport's international arrivals hall, and shows people huddled together in long lines, waiting to get out of the terminal.
It flies in the face of strong messaging from the Federal Government to maintain physical distancing to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Guidelines recommended people stayed at least 1.5 metres away from others, and that crowds and public gatherings be avoided.
The video was posted on social media by Sally Prosser, who told the ABC it was filmed by a family member.

You don't know what he was doing for that 3 months. He could have been trying to avoid panic while preparing a response. During that 3 months we turned out better than many smaller and more manageable countries . We definitely didn't release cruise ships full of sick people into the public. The crisis isn't over but we haven't had a huge death toll yet and you don't see him trying to take advantage of a crisis with unrelated garbage political issues in the relief bill. You just stick with orange man bad. Just remember who the alternatives are and how Russia and Chiner will own them and probably us as well if they ever get into office.Bobby wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 5:37 pmTexan wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 3:01 pmWas this before or after he was being racist for stopping travel from China?
Trump is the leader of the free world -
it was up to him to save the world when there was 3 months to spare.
This started last December in China.
Instead, he sat on his fat arse proclaiming that it was just the flu.

I've seen people coughing in the supermarket.
Sick people shouldn't be there.
There is no crowd control security.
I can't get a mask - hardly anyone is wearing a mask
as you just can't buy them.

Australia's confirmed cases = 2810.
The rate of transmission is 2.5 to 1.
Assuming 4 generations of virus then
the multiplication factor is 2.5 to the power of 4 = 39.
Therefore there are
39 x 2810 = 109,590 people have it in Australia.

OK I just heard on the news that 7,000 people from overseas and coming into Australia per day. 3,000 will enter Sydney on Sunday and Monday and DOZENS were let loose in Sydney again today from a cruise ship. Wait for it!! ... UNCHECKED!!
Can someone explain how you can have a total travel ban yet still let in 7,000 per day?

I'm stunned. It's ridiculous! They already have Slater & Gordon on the TV encouraging people to sue. Gladys should be very very worried.Gordon wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 7:22 pmI reckon they should limit it to Australian citizens.
