As you know I am wary of them and would never eat anything I wasn't 100% sure about. P knows a lot about mushies though. With some you need to be careful you don't accidentally touch your mouth/eyes without washing your hands first.

Hi BO,
I am careful if I touch them.
I wash my hands.
There is no mushroom that can attack you through your skin.
A mycologist said that no tree in the world would
be taller than 2 meters without fungi in the soil.
We wouldn't exist without them as plants wouldn't be able to
extract the nutrients from the soil without fungi.
We are all interlocked almost as one huge biological organism.

I found another type today.
There were many at the base of a healthy large eucalyptus tree.
I can't identify it properly.
It has an offset stalk on all the mushrooms seen.

I did a spore print for one of the mushrooms just above

That is done by cutting the stalk off and laying it flat
on some paper for a day or so.
The spores drop out and make a pattern.
As you can see the spores are coloured brown.

Found another one on my walk today.
I can't get a perfect match from websites.
I tried:
https://champignouf.com
and
https://fungusid.com/

The closest seems to be:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clitocybe_nebularis

That one looks alien.
Yes - it's unusual that it's not round -
there were many and none of them were round.
One was very large - a foot across.
