Cods, the Greens are not creating a panic, nor is Greta. They are though, alarmed at the lack of action by Governments, the world over. ScoMo in particular and Rabbit before him, didn't believe in Climate Change. Nor does Trump. He believes Climate Change is a "Chinese conspiracy".

Greta is correct to pour scorn on the world's leaders at the UN. They are doing very little to stop Climate Change. They believe they are backed by people such as yourself, Cods. Climate Change is occurring NOW. It must be dealt with NOW. We are already leaving it too late to stop it.

CLIMATE CHANGE HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS...  I hate to tell you that but humans have not always been a part of this world this planet yet CLIMATE CHANGE happened over and over again..... scientists know this yet never mention it.. why because they have no explanation for it.

if you dont thin we now have school children leaving the class rooms ..... to protest something they know almost nothing about...k telling the world this world will end in 10 years IS NOT SENDING PANIC through the veins of children..... then you are one odd dude

Al Gore set this PANIC IN MOTION and since then children have left their class rooms to protest somethign they know almost nothing about accept their world will end in 10 years....bloody disgraceful...next time yu watch Greta take a good hard look at her eyes...

Anthropomorphic Climate Change has been going on for approximately 200 years, Cods. Please keep up with has been discussed here and elsewhere.

We are discussing Anthropomorphic driven Climate Change (ie caused by humanity). I am not going to go back over the same old ground again and again with you. Tsk, tsk.

oh dearie dearie me.....so its taken 200 years even though the real industrial era.didnt get going until ww1...they used animal power for a lot of thing we then used engines for...in fact I do believe Australia was built with animal power....

where would this planet be with those INDUSTRIAL years..... oh thats alright lets just pretend we would have managed...

almost every mine has closed in the UK.. most many years ago.....I would venture to say thats pretty much the same story world wide....how about you people given some credit where it belongs...

turn your taps off and see how long you last.....buy your electric car and see how far you can travel this country.....how about flying in that plane thats just plugged into renewable electricity....

we know you climate warriors want fossil fuel shut down over night .. well its the only way to reverse this damage isnt it?... mr expert...

200 years to get to this point... .......and all will be fixed in 10 years !!! yeah it should work!

The first steam engines were invented when, Cods? Approximately 250 years ago.

Australia was initially built with animal power but once the turn of the 20th century occurred, it quickly changed to mechanical power. Mechanical power usually produces CO^2. Yes, WWI was when it become more evident but since then, it has been busily building up. Catch on to the bus, Cods, please and stop demonstrating your ignorance.

It won't be fixed in 10 years but in 10 years a good start will have been made...

And what is the Tories solution? Sell more coal. Build more coal-fired power stations.

Do you have a fully self sustainable home, Brian? Solar panels? Wind turbines? A self sufficient water system? Water storage tanks? A geothermal energy system? Composting? Do you drive an electric car that runs solely off your self sustainable grid?

Is that right, Brian? Gee willackers. Then what caused the Medieval Warm period (950 AD to 1250 AD)? Was there a previously unknown civilisation somewhere melting steel, burning limestone to create concrete, using coal fired power stations, and driving cars and jet liners?

How about the Roman Warm Period? (271 BC-287 AD). Were the Romans doing the same thing that we are doing now, and that is why the Roman empire fell?

How about the Minoan Warm Period, Briney? That was a thousand years previous to the Roman warm Period.

And thousand years before that was the Sumerian warm period, and a thousand years before that, the Egyptian.

Our present warming period is right on schedule and the only thing that makes our present warm period different to every other in the thousand year cycles, is that this one coincided with the industrialisation of the human race.

And then a funny thing happened. A bunch of scientists realised how they could make their particular science get more prestige and bucket loads of money by claiming that they had discovered that a perfectly natural event was a portent to human catastrophe. Socialists realised that the BIG LIE could destroy western capitalism. Western politicians thought it was a great way to increase taxes. UN agencies realised that they could use this to increase funding from rich to poor nations by depicting rich nations as the destroyers of the earth, who should compensate the poor nations for the destruction of earth's environment. UN politicians also seized on it as an excuse to increase their powers over those dammed democracies, who's government's are supposed to do what their people tell them to do. And last but not least, those crazy moral puritans who have a compulsive psychological need to think that they are better than the Hoi Polloi, realised that here was another excuse for them to strut and preen and virtue signal.

But the biggest question of all, Briney. The one that you keep dodging, and dodging, and dodging, is, if the world warms like clockwork because of CO2 every 1000 years, what causes the CO2 to disappear, which makes the temperature fall again?

I can't wait to see you dodge it again. It just shows that us Good Guys are winning.

Oh, dearie, dearie, me. No references, Bogan? How do we know those things are genuine and not something you've whipped up on your PC? Tsk, tsk, you need to provide your sources for anything to be considered a valid part of the discussion.

My house has Solar Panels. I have a solar hot water system. I have investigated geothermal power but unfortunately the ground where I live is unsuitable for that solution. Windpower could work but I would need Council Planning Permission to install a turbine.

What about you, Black Orchid? What have you done to cut back your contribution to Climate Change? Anything at all?
