Well, I changed over to the NBN (FTTN) a month ago and everything has been just fine.

I used to have a landline with Telstra but now have VOIP and, today, I had to go to my Bank and deposit a cheque for $5.41 ... Telstra sent me a "refund" ... I almost tore the bloody thing up but since I had to go to the ATM .... and the girl at the Bank didn't have a clue what a "deposit slip" was and actually asked me where she should "stamp" the Deposit Book I had filled out ... last time I had to deposit a cheque was way back in 2013 when an elderly Uncle left me a few thousand bob and that was worth it.

Yes, Woolies! My daughter does my shopping for me, she joined the queue and then the announcement came ... 'twas OK, she went elsewhere (not Woolies, Coles or Aldi) ... last Monday all the refrigeration at the local Woolies was stuffed so she had to go elsewhere as well. I think we might just give Woolies the flick. Long ago it was Superbarn and a great place to shop, then they got bought out by Woolies/Coles and prices went up by dollars .... people got sacked and no service to speak of. There is still a REAL Superbarn ... privately owned and not the ones who let Coles recently buy them out and the prices are competitive. I used to like the IGI supermarkets.

I think some older people just get stuck in their ways. Won't use a mobile phone, much less a smart phone, wont progress from ADSL to broadband, wireless or otherwise..... are redundant in their views, ideology and values...ie "woman shouldn't wear jeans".

Unfortunately many of the comments on her posts make me cringe.

well.. she's never pretended to be the sharpest tool in the shed...

but she is a voice for the people who want it..

she's travelling all over australia to ask people what they think... how they are going.. how hard they are doing it..

while all the other fat sloths are sitting in cambarra or their home seats.... they couldnt give a **** about australia and Australians...

she's asking a lot of questions in parliament and putting a lot of pressure on the pollies...

but I also don't agree with everything the Liberals or Labor says either... probably 90% of the Labor/Greens policies should be in the bin...
