True. I find the number of options a little overwhelming sometimes and end up reading a book lolThe Reboot wrote: ↑Sun Jan 20, 2019 2:53 pmI still haven't seen it but it's definitely on the list. Too much to watch!

I read the book that the series is based on, and I give them credit for sticking very closely to the book, not often you see that .

I read the book a few years back that the series is based on, ""Non fiction"", and I give them credit for sticking very closely to the book, not often you see that .

That is quite something. Being a bit of a literature fanatic myself, I find it hard to take a novel to tv adaptation seriously if it doesn't stick to the book.BigP wrote: ↑Sun Jan 20, 2019 3:08 pmBigP wrote: ↑Sun Jan 20, 2019 3:06 pmThe Reboot wrote: ↑Sun Jan 20, 2019 2:53 pmI still haven't seen it but it's definitely on the list. I.e Game of Thrones. When it got ahead of George R. R Martin's books, you could really see the writing quality drop to a big time low when they had to come up with their own ideas.
Not that the books are that well written. It's Young Adult quality with gritty themes. I abandoned ship when I realized it will take the bloke another twenty years for the next installment to be released, and lost interest.

Slack I know but something like GoT I like to watch rather than read.

I'm like that about the Lord of the Rings movies.
I loved the ideas and the concept and everything but those hobbit characters really irked me and most of the focus was on them throughout the books.

Yeah the hobbits were somewhat annoying and I didn't read those books either. I watched the movies instead
Any book that is about 3 inches thick turns me off immediately.

the pretend racism these days just makes me sick...
"Jesse" Owens ......... a real American Hero... Single Handedly Took Down the NAZI's ...
Great film on Netflicks right now !!

I know Russian Doll gets excellent reviews but I watched two shows last week with the same theme. Caught in a loop! They drove me cray cray.
So I think I need to give it a bit more time before I watch Russian Doll.
