I think it's more likely that they'll be asking "what the hell are prints?"

They had all the gear: breast plates, GPS radio trackers, ect ect.
All up there was 7 blokes and 7 dogs.
These blokes are all 20 years or more my junior, yet when I took them up a mountain onto the ridge behind my place, they had to repeatedly stop for a rest.
Seems youngsters these days are increadibly unfit, I put them all to shame.
And they call themselves 'Pig hunters' .. Ha, what a joke.
If some 'joke pig hunter' was injured on your watch during your 'Hatari,' they would have fuck all to fall back on. They could, of course, sue you....and that would be very fruitful. They'd be fucked, and you would not care less. After all, they are just 'joke pig hunters.'
I reckon, given your current penurious circumstance, you need to re-address what you are doing. Putting ignorant 'joke pig hunter" punters at risk is a cluster fuck, but I also reckon your life is riddled with them, and that is why you are where you are, Dr. Rambo Ph.D.
That's right Arsie, no money changed hands, on any of the hunts I've led. I do it for free meat, sport/entertainment, and environmental conservation ... so yes all is well in the hills between Gin Gin and Mt Perry.
Although after seeing hunting trips offered as prizes in gun/hunting magazines valued at $1000 per day, a cohort and I are thinking about where we can scrounge $25k or so to buy a 2,200 acre cattle lease to run paid for private hunts.
Several weeks ago I took some blokes on a mid week hunt in a state forest. As we did not have a Permit to Traverse we left the vehicle at the gate and walked in. When we returned to the vehicle, the cow cocky with the cattle lease on that portion of forest had left a note between the drivers door and pillar stating "Be ware, pig hunters not allowed on this property, I have your number". I was considering calling this wanker's bluff, by leaving a note in his letterbox (in previous valley) replying "Be aware, pig hunting is legal in Queensland State Forests, we know where you live". But didn't.
Point is there's nothing he can do, so I don't care what he says.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

So my suspicion was correct, old film cameras produce better results than digitals ... well on scenic shots anyway.IQS.RLOW wrote:It's not that the cameras are so bad, it's that the prints aren't so good. Spoze the biggest advantage to digitals is being able to check the card in a puter to see if the pics are any good, rather than wasting money on getting duds developed.

Re: Hill billy capers
Back in September a chick here in Bundy informed me of an article stating Work for the Dole are setting up a feral pig erradication program just up the road (aprox 15 km away) in another blocky development. Upon hearing I said "They're taking my pigs". Well seems work for the dolies and the dry weather has put a big dent in the local feral pig population.
Yesterday I saw a lone black 50 kilo boar in the forest behind my place, which is the first pig I've seen for a couple of weeks.
Until recently I'd been killing quite a few pigs. Only difference is, now I name each one after a federal member of parliament. So I have photos of pigs called Nicola, Penny, Wayne, Bill, ect ect .. A while back I spotted a red pig. Others refer to the reds as gingers. So I'm currently hunting a sow called Julia.
Seems we better get Rex Gilroy or the Yeti hunters out my way. An old cow cockie with a lease beyond forest behind my place saw a large black cat kill and drag a 100 kilo calf. He took a shot but missed (Phuk it! Why do they always miss?").
Photos of the paw prints have been confirmed by some wildlife mob as a cat.

Re: Hill billy capers
There have been sightings of large black cats (panthers they call them) around the outskirts of Sydney for years. My son and a friend saw it/one not that long ago. Scared the beejezus out of them
Why shoot it though? People have been trying to figure out what they are for years and/or where they came from. If it dragged a 100kg carcass it wasn't a feral cat.
Shooting for food is one thing but I totally disagree with shooting something "just because"

With a comparably priced digital camera, you can still print out your digital photos and get comparable prints, as long as you use quality processing (not just a colour printer), at least for non professionals.Outlaw Yogi wrote:So my suspicion was correct, old film cameras produce better results than digitals ... well on scenic shots anyway.IQS.RLOW wrote:It's not that the cameras are so bad, it's that the prints aren't so good.
