Don't use how to votes myself... but the parties are on the ballot papers.

Popular trick of the loser is not to put their party on their how to vote cards. Shows their stupidity, the punter takes from one they know they not vote for, and copies it in reverse!

I used the how to vote "Liberal" card this year.

Check the deceitful Danby out..... using 2 how to vote cards this year.

One to appeal to the Jews, the other the more "liberated".
Labor MP Michael Danby has been criticised for preparing two how to vote cards, with the main one putting the Sex Party second and Family First last while the one sent to conservative members of the Jewish community reversed those positions.

Mr Danby, whose electorate of Melbourne Ports includes a sizeable Jewish constituency, said most voters in his seat would have no difficulty putting the Sex Party second but he wanted to respect a conservative minority group, "our Orthodox Jewish supporters".

A post on Jewish website Galus Australia attacked Mr Danby as hypocritical.

Regardless of your religion, values..., Danby has a how to vote LABOR card to please and appeal to you.

This should be illegal.

A FRINGE party scooping up Senate votes intended for the Coalition wants to legalise concealed guns, marijuana and euthanasia.

The Liberal Democrats, which has strong ties to the Outdoor Recreation Party, fluked first place on the NSW ballot Senate ballot paper, jeopardising the Liberal Party's previously assured third NSW Senate seat.

*snip*

There are concerns the Liberal Democrats have preferenced Pauline Hanson well ahead of Liberal candidate Arthur Sinodinos, meaning the One Nation leader may land the third Senate spot ahead of him.

All these mistakes could mean that Pauline gets up after all.

I only just got back from the polls, (as today’s our shopping day) and on my way in, I noticed the Greens stand was there, though noone was actually manning it. Crestwood High school, (Mitchell NSW).

Anyway....
On my way out, they still weren’t there, and as I passed the Liberals, Democratic Liberals, Palmer United stands I remarked about the Greens not being there when one said "Yeah, they're on break, have been for most of the day...lol"...then another said "Yeah, they're hiding in the bush." to which I responded, "Yeah, and that’s where they should stay."

We all had a huge laugh...then a 10 or so minute chat.

I guess we will find out, eventually. Most Aussies care less about voting and/or politics until there is an Election. It's just us tragics on Forums like this that discuss this sort of thing. However, I would think that many people would take a "how to vote" card and vote "above the line" in the Senate rather than fill out 100's of numbers. Does the Liberal Democrats have number 1 position above the line on the Senate "table runner"?

That sums it up. Most people in hot, crowded polling booths today wouldn't have bothered spending half an hour numbering that sheet.

Liberal Democrats are A on the table runner. Liberals are WAY along the ballot paper at Y.

It seems a lot of people started at the left, saw A, and marked off the Liberal Democrats mistaking them for the Liberal Nationals. A lot of postal voters have done the same thing. ABOVE the line.
Some readers have contacted The Daily Telegraph concerned they mistakenly opted for the fringe in postal voting and the Liberal Party is warning supporters to carefully follow its how-to-vote cards after feedback at pre-polling booths that some people were confusing the similarly named parties.
