Yeah, Pence is a cowardly conservative cocksucker which is why Trump chose him. Funny thing is, I suspect he was thought to appeal to Evangelicals but the Christian elite consider him a traitor.
Indeed, and the party centre will want to go nowhere near the crazy tea party fuckbag. They made that abundantly clear where he challenged Boehner. He'll also scare off any of the Bernie "fuck the establishment" Sanders or Libertarian types who were thinking about voting for Trump in order to stick it to Hills.

Jesus Christ... fucking Mike Pence?

For all the "political" animals who have no clue who Mike Pence is, imagine if Shorten nominated Mark Latham as the deputy leader today.

all Trump needs to do is NOT act like a crazy racist for the next few months and he will win big. Hillary's VP pick won't help her with the white male vote at all.

I liked Mark Latham 'coz he's a head kicker. Not 'coz I played footy with a bloke bearing the same name.

When the Chaser crew set up an effigy of someone to be demonised (forget who) and offered pollies the chance to belt it with a nurf bat Latham thumped the Chaser presenter.

And who could forget the best piece of parliamentary sledging in living memory when Howard and crew sided with Bush junior over Iraq:
" ... a conga line of suck-holes"
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Nate Silver's election forecasts are the only ones that matter and as of today he has Trump winning.

Is Trump capable of restraint? He makes these outrageous comments and then backtracks as if the world should automatically understand him and you're stupid if you don't. By supporting him, the Republicans are obviously showing their desperation. Clinton isn't the best alternative as a future President, but she's a lot more rational than Trump. A country the size of the US needs stability not rabble rousing. If Trump does manage to win - his wild promises will be suppressed and his supporters won't get the man they voted for.

Yea. That line is straight out of the Paul Keating song book.
Costello wasn't bad at putting opposition in their place either. It seems to have turned a lot nastier and personal nowadays though.

For a start the Republicans did not 'support' Trump. They fought tooth and nail to crush him.
Y'see the Republicans only want to govern when times are good (economically), so they can blame the Democrats for times being bad/poor. And currently, according to the IMF and all the so called global economic experts, things are up the shit.

I realise this isn't common knowledge, and many are likely to scoff, but facts are facts, and the fact is governments do not run/control the world. Intelligence agencies control the world. Something the Kennedy family learnt the hard way, and JFK never learnt.

It's amazing how many people seem to forget that.

That is why I can't see Trump winning.
Without the party backing it will be hard to get over the line.

Depends on whom is hated most.... Trump or Clinton. This is an election between 2 candidates who are nationally disliked.

I said before, I think Trump is a buffoon and that the US will eventually plump for Clinton and more of the same. I have no idea how close that election will be or even if it will be close... but whatever the outcome it will say a lot about the polity in the US and what the people think of politicians.

This is a global trend in western democracies... the "Socialist" Left are reaping what they've sown, the question is will they learn anything? So far the answer is a resounding NO!
