the PM's own chief spin doctor John McTernan, who was outed yesterday trying to get a post election job with radio jock Ben Fordham.

McTernan obviously took seriously Cameron's call for the PM to sack her spin doctors. He appears intent on sacking himself.

Only 2 weeks of sittings left. Rudd is claiming on 7.30 and Sunrise (yesterday and today repsectively) to be a happy little Vegemite working for the re-election of the Gillard government.

Then we have an election campaign with a numpty campaigning on the Carbon “Tax” that people don’t give a shit about any more and on “debt.” As against a successful reforming government with a lot more policy to come.

I can’t see Tone winning. Newspoll shows dire results—the other polls not so much, a slow move back to Labor. As people start focussing on the actual election the polls will finally start to have some meaning.

Kevni's little stint on 7.30 was a blatant job application to the caucus with the massive black cloud over it.

They know theyre fucked but the Short-Con voting block has created an impasse - the backbench now has two choices
1. Total annihilation under Gillard where they lose their jobs but the Gillard backers will allocate themselves the parachutes of the safest seats (AKA Feeney) and cushy union jobs in the aftermath
2. Dump Gillard, bring back Kevni and play musical chairs from the backbench to the front bench again in the hope of saving the furniture, turning a 25-30 seat maximum to a possibility of 50 seats.

Either way, theyre fucked...and deserve to be.
A fucking hopeless govt and one that will be forever remembered at the worst ever.
